Quieter than I was expecting it to be. Starts and runs with very little effort. Bought it to use with my camper for those times we can't get a site with power.

This arrived in a sort of beat up box. The generator itself was unharmed. Well packaged. I poured in the supplied oil, gassed it up, and it started on the first pull! Impressive! I haven't actually put a load on it yet. Time will tell...

Just got it unpacked. Assembled easily per the instructions. Added the oil (provided with generator). Put a quart of (stabilized) gas in the tank and fired it up. It started on the first pull! I plugged in a leaf blower and ran it 15 minutes with no problems. I let it cool down and put it away, hoping that it will gather dust because we have not had any big snow storms or power outages.

We had been looking for a generator for a while and were amazed when we saw the Black Max for such a great price. It was delivered to our door, a little heavy to move until the wheels are attached, easy to attach the wheels and has plenty of power to get us through winter storms. After adding oil and gasoline, this machine started on the first pull. It was quieter than our prior generator and could barely be heard from inside the house.

I wanted a generator for our camper(30 amp RV outlet), looked at just about everything on the market. This was pretty much what I was looking for. When Sam's offered free shipping, that closed the deal for me. Pros: It started on the first pull, weighs a little over 100 lbs, about 75 decibels @ 20 feet. Con's: No hour meter for running time, no fuel level gauge in gas cap

Got this, started it up thinking it was going to be too loud. Extremely surprised at how QUIET this generator is! I was able to carry on a conversation in normal tones standing directly at the generator, with no problem hearing the other person! Very pleased.

Decent quality generator. Easy to assemble. Very easy to start. Comes with wheels and a bottle with 18 oz of oil. This runs at about 125 volts without a load. My initial break in with no load was about 45 minutes. My second test for this was putting 3000 watts of a load on it. It ran and performed well with the voltage running at a solid 119 volts. The engine handled the load better than I expected. It is very important to read the user manual for safety and equipment operation. This generator is set up with a floating or unbonded neutral. Use the internet for more information on that. The engine in this generator is not a Honda. It is a Chinese copy of the Honda engine. These engines ( I now have 4 of them) perform very well if cared for properly. If you do not plan on draining the fuel tank after use you should use a gasoline stabilizer. I drain fuel from the tank and fuel bowl on the carburator for extended storage time. This generator was quieter than I expected. I do not live out west so I removed the spark arrestor from the end of the muffler to grab a free sliver of engine performance. Removing the spark arrestor also eliminates a maintenance item. I will put this generator to use come spring when I install a new breaker box in my house. This will easily keep the refrigerator running during the work and provide power for needed tools and lighting. I also plan on safely and legally setting up my electrical for generator backup during power outages. I do not care for the RV style 30 amp outlet. I have ways around that so it is not a big deal. If you look around, you will never find a brand new generator with 3600 watts (30 amps) at this price. If you want an hour meter and/or a volt meter, expect to pay at least 100 dollars more. For the money you can not get a better deal. Fast shipping and gen started on first pull. It's not a $1000.00 Honda, but i did not expect that for 200.00. Its for emergency use during power loss and it will work just fine for that. It is amazing that this was offered for 200.00.

I bought this generator a year ago and I only ran it 5 minutes every other month to keep it fresh. Well I finally got to use it because of hurricane Harvey and it performed extremely well. I probably ran it for about 56 hours 14 on and 10 off over 4 days while running two refrigerators, a 7200btu window unit, a large fan, two lamps, and a fish tank filter. In 14 hours it would use roughly 3-3.5 gallons of gas with all of that equipment connected to it. It's not loud being on our back patio. It really made living easier during a hard time. My in-laws are currently borrowing it as they are still without power and they like it too.

I bought one of these last year for RV camping at race tracks. I've used it all weekend several times, and it's been reliable. We run air conditioners, heaters, lights, and the freezer off of it with no problems. The tank lasts about 6-7 hours if we're really using it. It's also relatively quiet.
