This is the second Black Max 3600/4500 Watt generator I purchased from Sam's Club.  The first ($199), I used several times extensively due to hurricane damage power outages.  Performed flawlessly.  I loaned it to my son and haven't received it back, imagine that!  This replacement was purchased from Sam's Club during a special sale ($249 delivered).  Upon receiving it, I ran it for 2 hours continuous under load, changed the oil and ran it for another 2 hours.  Having worked many years around emergency power equipment for a telephone company, we routinely operated our emergency power units monthly.  This "preventative maintenance" routine operation is important to ensure proper operation or identify a problem for correction.  Now retired, I still perform this monthly routine operation on my personal Black Max generators.

Bought this a week before hurricane Irma. We lost power for 8 hours and it powered our frig, internet, computers, TV and fans with no problems. I was surprised how little fuel it used. I can't compare the noise level with other generators, but it was acceptable. I am pleased with my purchase.

I got this generator for tailgating and I'm extremely happy with my purchase. I was nervous regarding the noise it makes but it's actually no problem. I can't wait for the Las Vegas stadium to open up so I can use this puppy even more!

Tailgaters Dream

Received very quickly with free shipping. Putting wheels on was simple for manuevering. Put oil in, gased up and it started on first pull. Very quiet running machine. Not small, not big, just right for our use.

Best Deal Ever

First unit was damaged in shipping, real fiasco returning to local club. 2nd unit received, assembled, added oil and gas and it started on second pull. Added loads as suggested, 2 refrigerators and a freezer, unit never lost a beat. Unit is fairly quiet. Very satisfied with unit.

Quick start.

With 3 hurricanes churning out in the Atlantic as I write this, it gives me peace of mind knowing this Black Max is sitting in my garage ready to go.  The power and number of outlets are exactly what I need for any power outage.  The price for this much power cannot be beat.  Hoping I will not have to use it!

Great peace of mind

When I received the generator I opened the box and pulled the generator out I noticed some loose parts in the bag that turned out to be the choke handle that was broken I can still use the generator but have to manually choke it. It would have been to much trouble to return.

Runs great but when I opened it plastic pieces fell out of the box they were from the plastic box that holds the outlets. Then when I tried to start it the cord would not go back in after playing with it for a while i got the cord to work but I noticed 3 screws where missing from the cover. Still for the price so far satisfied. Recommend if you get it on sale like i did would not ever pay full price for this generator.

This model with new fuel and right out of the box was very hard to crank - choke set according to instructions. Etc. this was the size I needed because it can be moved easy according to its weigh. Someone needs to make this model in a electric start version. Unit ran good
