Great deck box

Recently purchased for the third time but the quality has declined. Previously the box was made of thicker/stronger materials. The website says that the top will hold up to 770 lbs. but the brochure now says 600lbs. On the plus side it is easier to put together and seems to be sturdy though not as sturdy as the previous models.

We have been casually looking for a deck box for a year, and when we saw this insane price we had to buy it. We just put it together in about 20 minutes. The quality is insanely high for the price, woth pieces easily snapping together while also having metal reinforcement. We managed to fit the cushions for our sofa, our vittles vault, a large tub for washing the bird feeder, and our ice melt with room to spare.

I bought these to replace 2 ten year old Keter Boxes that are used as dock boxes. The originals held up great to intense Florida sun and salt spray including partial submersion in salt water. Countless hurricanes and other abuse did not phase them. The new boxes seem even better engineered. Highly recommend and I rarely write reviews, The ten year old ones are now doing duty as garden boxes.

This is good a good size. Large but you are still able to reach the bottom of it. The users manual says its lid will hold 600 lbs. (edges are reinforced) but can only hold 165 lbs. of contents. Without practice or the right tool to begin with this took me an hour to put together. The walls and bottom snap together and eight screws hold them in place. The walls are relatively thin. I plan to use silicone to caulk the joints for extra water tightness. You can lock it but would recommend buying it for convenience not security.
