Precooked bacon and other red meats are the best ways to describe the hearty smell. The taste seemed appealing so much so that two 10lb canines both consumed the food supplement very quickly and without any hesitation. There was a somewhat grainy and dry texture with a slight crumble but enough moisture to keep their shape. There were some crumbs left behind after consumption.
