I have the Aeropex model, and will soon be ordering the OpenRun Pro's. If you're a fitness fanatic then look at other reviews. I service equipment in the field, which means I may be in the middle of a diesel engine repair shop, warehouse, or someone's home. I used to carry earbuds, but my ears no longer tolerate them. Earbuds block most external sound. You can't hear that fork lift that's about to put a fork through your spine because he's watching the pallet, not his forks. WIth Bone Conduction you can hear in 360 degrees, and relay from your phone contact to an in-person contact flawlessly, without worrying about the nearby person over-hearing the incoming speech. It's the ultimate in security and safety! I used to like my over-ear headphones but the over the head support messes up my hair, or worse, traps it and pulls it out upon removal. No such problem with the behind the back of the head design. The sound control is excellent, it's easy to turn down the sound from the unit, to better hear your environment, WITHOUT losing comprehension of the phone conversation. It's like a one-way speakerphone. Your phone contact can hear someone close to you, but you have to relay the conversation from the phone contact to the person nearby. Great security and you can translate at will, especially helpful when the other end of the phone call isn't a native language speaker. They also coexist perfectly with eyewear. I haven't had any eye-protection or glasses that don't work well with these units. Flaws: Some music or voices will cause a 'tickling' sensation. Depending on the thickness of your skin/subdermal lipid layer, this may be problematic during long hold-times with a male voice-over. For the price, I would appreciate a case that also serves as a battery backup/charger. The included magnetic USB cable is great, but when you're traveling it's not exactly convenient to turn off then plug in your connection to the world. I would prefer to be able to charge while using the unit. My Aeropex shut down when connected to the charging cable. Comfort: for me the Aeropex is very comfortable. It's only troublesome when you're wearing a hoodie, as the rear support piece can catch on higher collar shirts/coats/jackets/jumpers. We're required to wear collared shirts, as white-glove field engineers.

First off- these are very very comfortable- extremely light weight and yet with good retention. The sound quality is good- with better than average bass response. All that being said, they are *quiet*- if you listen primarily to audiobooks or podcasts at low decibels, it will be difficult to make them out. This is a function of the form-factor- they are very much open ear for the sake of situational awareness. Just be aware that certain kinds of sound media will work better than others, especially in the presence of ambient noise. The more bass you have in the media, the clearer the sound will be. Battery life is good- lasting about 2 days of moderate use. Pleased so far- but will be following up based on lifetime use, namely: how long until the batteries start to lose charge? These do have a finite lifespan, with no way to replace the onboard lithiums with fresh ones. That is my other point of contention: these are disposable- they will not last and absolutely have a finite lifespan. I wish they would make ones with replaceable batteries, or have a program that lets you mail them in to get fresh ones installed. Making items that last is preferable to generating more ewaste for the landfills, but adds more complexity to design. Whether or not I purchase more pairs of these in the future will directly depend on longevity- these are very expensive premium products (purchased the ‘pro' model) so expectations are likewise high.

I needed to find an alternative to in-ear buds. Friends and online reviews all match: good audio quality. good for ambiance (safety) noise like cars around. and so on. So I bought them I also liked the small size option. The problem I've found so far is that I need them to be placed right on my ears(of course, that's how they work) or I would have to put the volume all the way up to get the sound. I haven't figure out how to deal with long hair (over or under) and still get the best sound. The best fit, specially when running is wearing a beanie hat (all good since it's winter). The hat will keep the headphones close to my skull and in the right location. The dual connection didn't work very well with my computer and my phone, so I disabled that feature and I connect to a single device at a time.

A little over a year ago they simply stopped producing sound. Connects only as a microphone. Repairing and resetting did not help. There is no access to any other device settings. There are only three buttons that can't do anything. I need reliable things, because such cases really throw me off balance. If you are selling them for only a year, then indicate this so that I understand what I am paying money for.

Like the awareness you have with these headphones. I had the titanium model from about 4 years ago. These are a significant update as they have multi point Bluetooth. Sound is richer than the titanium. Voice calls are much improved. I have yet to try them on my bike the ultimate test. I recommend them to cyclists and runners. Regular in ear headphones are just too dangerous.

These headphones are some of the best I've ever used. In ear headphones have always been uncomfortable for me, and being able to wear these all day and forget I even have them on while I'm not using them is amazing. Sound quality isn't as good as other types of headphones but that is to be expected for their open ear design. However, they sound much better than previous models and the battery lasts me the entire day with 30-50% battery left by the end. If your even considering purchasing you most likely won't be disappointed with your purchase. Just be aware of the differences in how they will sound compared to what you're used to!

I don't like no having the ability to turn off the beep sound every time I need to stop playing media. The beep is actually louder than the volume of the media I'm playing which kinda irritates me since my other brand of headset didn't have any beeps at all when pressing buttons.

My headphones have literally changed the way I move through the world. I was struggling with floppy wired ear buds and cumbersome cables for so long. When I saw my friend get off his bike with these on, I immediately asked him what they were and bought a pair right then and there. No regrets! Not going back! I like the vibration for bass music and the case is amazing too.

I am an avid mountain bike racer who has tried several types of ear buds. In this context, none can hold a candle to my OpenRun Pro. I was not sure how the music would sound, but the truth is, for the first time, it does not need to be loud to be satisfying. The buds fit nicely under my mountain bike helmet, with sunglasses on. The controls are easy to find since they're next to the ear and they are easily controllable with gloves on. I even answered a phone call and it sounded great! I highly recommend this set of ear buds for any mountain bike rider who loves music, but needs to hear the outside world.

After owning multiple entry level shokz headphones, I tried on my daughter's open run pro version we bought her and splurged on this model. They are lightweight, comfortable, good sound and great battery life. I had been pretty disappointed with the hassle of returning a new pair of Open Move headphones that arrived defective and were buzzing in my ear and left a negative review for those but decided to take a chance on these. I should have bought these in the first place.
