I’ve had a Roku Ultra for two years and love it. Unfortunately, because of a lightening strike it got fried along with my router. I replaced it with a new unit that recognized my Roku account and installed seamlessly. I don’t have cable but have found that Roku allows me to access the most apps and streaming platforms effortlessly. Also, it might be my imagination but this new unit seems faster than the one it replaced (and that one was fast). I use it on a five-year old Samsung smart tv that has a clunky, slow interface that is not compatible with many apps. The Roku has added new life to this tv.

Got sick of the ads, noise, and clutter on my existing streaming device. Glad I did. The Roku was easy to set up and has a much nicer interface. It doesn't bludgeon you with ads. Just gets the job done quickly and efficiently. And the backlit remote is great for the tv in my bedroom. No more turning a light on to find the right button. Highly recommend.

I brought a Sony Tv that had google tv. It was so frustrating to watch the programing. They kept buffering and some would not load. After purchasing this Roku product I had no trouble at all. Coupled with the HDMI Sony picture quality it's all fantastic. Get One!

I have a smart TV with Roku built in and it was getting so slow (it's 9 years old). So I bought this Roku ultra, plugged it into the HDMI Slot and it works great! It's so fast and I love that I can speak into the remote! It makes searching and entering passwords so much easier! Just replacing the Roku part was so much cheaper than buying a whole new TV since there's nothing wrong with the TV itself.

I have been very satisfied with my Ultra. It's fast, does what it needs to do, and has a nice remote. That said, there are a couple of negatives: 1. Shame on Roku for not putting a full gigabit ethernet port in their 2024 premiere model. It's still only 10/100 which, for the record, is 1995 vintage technology. What are you guys thinking? It makes a person wonder where else they're cutting corners. 2. Roku needs to stop messing with the menu. The reason people buy Roku is because you have a (virtually) ad-free launcher to quickly get to your content. Stop cluttering the page with stuff we don't want or need. Don't become like the others. Simplicity is your marketing edge.

My original Roku Ultra was awesome. But developed a internal firmware issue. I called hassle free Roku support and they replaced it hassle free. Best awesomesauce streaming product and value today. Even here in Alaska. You save hundreds alone on all the free. Roku channels. Roku you have been found excellent and in today's survival economy your a streaming Hero. Good job and well done.

When the Roku Ultra 2024 I was excited to see that it was WIFI. I have a high end WIFI 7 router so I am always looking for devices with faster connection speeds. I quickly learned that the new Ultra 2024 was WIFI protocols but it does not connect to the 6G WIFI band. It's connection speeds are only slightly faster than previous Ultras used in the same location. I guess that I need to read the fine print better. The good news is everything works great and if anything the Ultra 2024 might have slightly better picture quality over its predecessors. It handles dark scenes better and is slightly closer to my Shield Pro for picture quality. The WIFI 6 issue bugs me but it is still a great player and a great value.

So, it is the 2024 model, has all the features you need for most users. The remote control is rechargable, that is a must have because the these Voice/Wifi remotes will drain those normal AAA batteries in a few weeks. FYI. Others have made the same comments about battery drain. Its true. Need rechargable remote if using it for Voice command. Available at Walmart, same day shipping, Sams club, instore, shipping (about a week with FedEx ground, if your lucky).

This is the 10th or so product from Roku that I have purchased. Everytime I buy a new one it out does the last one without rewriting the book. The new additions to the remote improve it without taking away what was good about it. Definitely worth a purchase especially if you are using an older Roku device.

Bought this remote so that my husband could use bluetooth headphones while we watch programs. Unfortunately, you cannot listen through the headphones and have the sound go through the speakers at the same time. You should consider fixing this issue since our Dish receiver allows sound through the headphones and speakers at the same time!
