We replaced an older model with this one and are really loving it! The ability to use a Bluetooth headset and connect it directly to the unit instead of the remote means the remote doesn't need charging nearly as often. This unit is also MUCH faster than our previous model. Unlike past models, we've had this one for several months and it has never locked up, unlike older ones that needed to be unplugged about every 3 weeks. We originally bought this to replace a 15-,year- old one that got zapped by a power surge, but we loved it so much that we bought another one to upgrade the other unit in our house.

Even though I have smart TVs, the Roku makes it so much easier to navigate, search, select, etc. It keeps the format so simple and I hope it stays that way. KISS (keep it simple stupid). Also I love the live TV and Roku movies. I even have the Roku soudbar and I love that, too. I'll never use anything else!

These were good OTT devices in the past. But it’s clear now they are going to ruin it with ads and a poor quality experience overall. I’ve owned many of the Rokus and my most recent one, the ultra, is the most problematic. Regular “loss of signal” crashes. Tried a new HDMI cable and other HDMI ports. I was going to mention something about contacting support, but the review guidelines suggest I should not do so... also quite telling! Do yourself a favor and buy a competing product. There are more reliable options. Lastly the Roku website denied this review submission because I had an AD blocker. Kind of ironic? They know who their pay masters are and it's not their customers. I would short this stock and if I worked for this company I would quit without notice.

The Roku Ultra that I purchased has so many great features, including the speech remote control, I love how it has back-lit keys so you can see it in the dark, along with being able to control your TV with only one remote. Another thing that I thoroughly enjoyed about the remote, was that it had a function to play a noise to be found from anywhere when it is lost. It has extremely fast streaming speeds, and runs faster than any other streaming device I have ever used! The ability to charge the remote instead of having to use a bunch of batteries is amazing. Can't wait to buy another one for my room.

We purchased a brand new Smart TV. Hated the interface of using the Smart TV controls. Streamlined all of our channels and premium channels, with a remote provided by the internet company we chose. Hated the interface of using the internet company's controls. Purchased the Roku Ultra. Setup too less than 2 MINUTES! Whoever programmed the software and interface for Roku devices "thought like an end-user, how they would want setup to be and how to use the interface to watch what they wanted". It's perfect. I would recommend a Roku device to anyone that wants to make watching TV easier, and more enjoyable. I now have 5 Roku boxes in my home (one on each TV).

Getting better! The improvements over previous versions are greatly appreciated; Bluetooth, lighted and rechargeable remote, mute button! All great upgrades - BUT - Please give us the ability to program the 4 launch buttons at the bottom. Once again I'm stuck with buttons that I can't use. :-(

I replaced my two generation old ultra with the new 2024 ultra.The picture is noticeably clearer and the sound is very good. The old player would get quite hot and the new player just gets lukewarm. The player is very fast and the lit remote is great!

Overall this is a great unit. However if you've have the previous Ultra unit, you give up the programmable remote buttons 1 and 2 (which I used for skip forward and back). Some of the branded co-marketing streaming buttons on the remote are different as well.

My first exposure to Roku was purchasing a Roku TV. I fell in love with their front end operating system, then bought two Roku Ultra’s rather than using my other brand’s operating systems to navigate and stream. Roku makes it super straight forward and easy to setup and use. Very impressed with the speed of the navigation and how intuitive it is. Roku Rocks!

Roku Ultra runs fast, voice recognition is a pleasure - even lets you ask Hey Roku where you are to find the remote. Also working in sync with tv and receiver so that only one remote is needed for all three devices. Can mute my receiver using the remote as well as control the volume of my receiver.
