I’ve had a Roku Ultra for two years and love it. Unfortunately, because of a lightening strike it got fried along with my router. I replaced it with a new unit that recognized my Roku account and installed seamlessly. I don’t have cable but have found that Roku allows me to access the most apps and streaming platforms effortlessly. Also, it might be my imagination but this new unit seems faster than the one it replaced (and that one was fast). I use it on a five-year old Samsung smart tv that has a clunky, slow interface that is not compatible with many apps. The Roku has added new life to this tv.

The installation process was very simple and easy and only took a few minutes. This Roku Ultra is the best thing to happen to streaming at an affordable price. I have zero paid subscriptions to a single streaming service and still have what seems to be a limitless amount of viewing choices. I highly recommend Roku devices for anyone looking to expand their viewing choices without having to go broke paying for subscription services.

The Roku Ultra is great with one exception. The old Roku had all the user names and passwords saved for the streaming services we use. The new Ultra only transferred about 90% of the credentials needed to resume streaming. The otherb19% was a scramble to fund or update sign on in for before streaming was again allowed. Never using sign in I for for the past 3 years made finding the information problematic. I am not sure what it would take to find the missing 10% but it sure would enhance the transition.

All is excellent except for the sound. The reason I bought it was that my old ultra did not play AC3 sound. Problem solved, but, the sound is very low causing me to jack up the volume three or four notches from other devices. Other than that, it exceeds my needs!

We purchased a brand new Smart TV. Hated the interface of using the Smart TV controls. Streamlined all of our channels and premium channels, with a remote provided by the internet company we chose. Hated the interface of using the internet company's controls. Purchased the Roku Ultra. Setup too less than 2 MINUTES! Whoever programmed the software and interface for Roku devices "thought like an end-user, how they would want setup to be and how to use the interface to watch what they wanted". It's perfect. I would recommend a Roku device to anyone that wants to make watching TV easier, and more enjoyable. I now have 5 Roku boxes in my home (one on each TV).

I bought this when I wanted to upgrade from my ISP-provided streaming device. I had used Roku and another brand previously, and decided on Roku this time because I knew it was easy to use, stable (without nagging issues), and was a good value. I was not disappointed except in one area: you cannot have one person listening via bluetooth earbuds and have the other folks in the room listen via normal sound. We had previously relied on this method on another device so my hearing-impaired husband could turn up his volume and the rest of us wouldn't be blown out of the room. I never thought it wouldn't be available on Roku. We ended up hard-wiring an amplifier connection from the TV to wired earbuds for him. Old-school but it works.

The Roku Ultra that I purchased has so many great features, including the speech remote control, I love how it has back-lit keys so you can see it in the dark, along with being able to control your TV with only one remote. Another thing that I thoroughly enjoyed about the remote, was that it had a function to play a noise to be found from anywhere when it is lost. It has extremely fast streaming speeds, and runs faster than any other streaming device I have ever used! The ability to charge the remote instead of having to use a bunch of batteries is amazing. Can't wait to buy another one for my room.

I love my Roku ultras. I now have three Roku devices. Two Ultras and one that is 11 years old. The Roku channel is my main viewing in addition to apps for Tubi, Hoopila, and my local stations for news I hardly watch my cable TV, which I would ditch if my wife would let me.

Our previous Roku Ultra had started to have sound issues, so we decided to replace it. As it is our main television, we sprung for another Ultra. We frequently watch YouTube, either my partner, myself, or both together. The new "feature" that the Ultra 2024 offers that allows apps to start wherever it was when you hit the Home button to exit is beyond annoying. The solution offered by the Roku Community is to hit the Back button until you get the Exit dialog, then hit OK, which is no solution at all. What is the point of the Home button if not to efficiently exit an app to the Home screen. Additionally, the remote that came with the Ultra 2024 will not work for voice control, though when the Hands Free button is turned on, it picks up what it thinks are requests, so the microphone works. Then there is having to reboot every other time we try to open the Acorn app. Overall, very disappointing.

The Roku Ultra can do everything that cable can do, and much more. I've found so many of my favorite shows on their own Roku Live channels. I can quickly stream my apps on 4K. I can listen to all my music. The Roku Ultra hooked up to my wifi, TV, and Bose soundbar so easily. What a great value!
