I have had a Samsung Smart TV for many years. The picture quality is as great as it ever was but because of its age, the apps of many streaming services don’t support it. The TV fits perfectly into a bedroom cabinet and it would be very difficult to find a replacement. So I got a Roku Ultra and shifted the “Smart” functions of the TV to the Roku and never looked back.

Love it! I purchased my Roku Ultra to replace an Xbox One X. The upside. Entry-level streaming devices, particularly those integrated into smart TVs, may exhibit performance limitations, resulting in buffering issues. To address this, I opted for the Roku Ultra. My objective was to acquire the most capable and high-performing streaming device available. The Roku Ultra's rapid processing capabilities facilitate swift access to various streaming platforms. It offers comprehensive audio/video options and customizable screensavers. The device's user-friendly interface and convenience are notable, and the unified remote control, which manages to turn both the surround sound receiver and the television on or off, is a valuable feature. The downside. My primary concern revolves around the remote's unintended activation during conversations, specifically the "Hey Roku" prompt appearing on the Roku TV screen. While a physical switch on the remote allows deactivation, this issue necessitates manual intervention. I primarily utilize the voice control feature when I am not engaged in conversation, appreciating its utility for pausing content without physical movement. Beyond this, the remote's illuminated design enhances usability in low-light conditions, and its ability to control both my AVR receiver and TV with a single button is a significant advantage. The unified control functionality is highly efficient.

I have a TLC with Roku in my living room. My husband has a big fancy Samsung TV in the basement that he likes. I found it very hard for me to control his TV. I bought him this little Roku so I could use his Samsung downstairs. They are very simple to use and I wouldn’t want anything different.

New Roku is hit or miss. Requires lots of restarts and freezes a lot. I don’t like how Roku changes my wallpaper and yes I have seasonal turned off. I don’t like all the ads on homescreen of Roku. I don’t like how they add items to my Homepage without consent! Starwars, Nfl, etc.

I like Roku and have used it for years. It has a major flaw, though. It disconnects Bluetooth after a few minutes of inactivity. Just bought a new TV and am liking its Bluetooth connectivity. Although its streaming interfaceN is a bit clunky, I definitely prefer its approach to Bluetooth connectivity. Will not be going back to Roku.

I own 3 Roku ultras and a few of the lower cost ones. Sadly Roku now has advertisements, but I get it; companies make billions upon billions annually from showing us advertising. My opinion is that Roku is a better streaming device compared to the offerings from Apple, Google, Amazon…far more streaming app options. The only downside to Roku is that some content is only available on their steaming devices and not a phone or PC Roku app.

Not sure why almost every tv nowadays needs apps built in but it seems to bog down a lot of different types of televisions. Anyways, for that reason, I bought the ultra to get rid of slowdowns and crashes that would occur. About a month in and it's performed way better. I even use the Lan hookup and that's worked quite well.

Just a great product for the money. We put this on an LG Tv with terrible interface to simplify things. It is a no nonsense simple but concise bliss. The backlit remote is the most significant life improvement you will experience from this product trust me. And, it's a simple rechargeable USB C hookup. Highly recommend, very easy to set up and go and simple and pleasant interface to look at.

I have several roku boxes in my house. The roku ultra is in my livingroom. Its fast and effective. At one point, my mom came home with a set top box from the internet provider. She used that for a while until I change the internet plan. When she started using the roku again, it was clear that there are more free apps, its faster and easy to find movies and shows from the home page, and its a great product.

Really impressed with this Roku. Especially the remote. I use this Roku in the bedroom. I'm one who doesn't turn on a light to watch television at night. I have a Samsung TV (a older one) the screen turns down when there isn't a light on and goes brighter when there is light. This remote is perfect as it lights up for when I'm watching at night. Definitely worth having this one.
