We just bought this mattress and set it up. This is our second memory foam mattress, but our first Serta. This is far from a firm mattress. When you lay down, you sink into the bed immediately. In a year or less, we won't even be able to get out of this bed because we will probably get lost somewhere in the foam! I will be sending this back.

We bought this mattress a couple months ago. We love it. I waited to write the review because I wanted to be fair in it. I had read all the reviews on this mattress as well as the 12” full size one..which we purchased also. Our mattress was an online order only. It showed we had placed our order for weeks and gave a delivery date. It never updated that it had been shipped. (We ordered late October and delivery date was 1st week in December...during the Covid pandemic..) the week of said delivery I contacted them and they said it would be delivered on time, so a couple days before delivery I noticed it had not been upgraded to the shipped status. I was like is it going to ship or not? ...come to find out neither had shipped. I was so mad as one was part of a Christmas gift for a room remodel for a teenager. Needless to say, it did ship and we got it a week later than orginally posted...but we got it! Thank goodness. Now, down to the mattress part. The 14” king and 12” full size arrived together, well boxed, and in great shape. We carefully opened the boxes and cut away the plastic. Very important not to cut the bedding itself. Both did great inflating to their sizes and were completed within 24 hours. There was a new smell on both. It went away within 5-7 days. The teenager loved her new bed right away as we upgraded her from a twin memory foam bed. It took us a few days to love the 14 inch king. The smell was a little bit of the problem as was breaking in a new bed. We upgraded from a queen size Serta mattress. We noticed a difference in the sides of the bed are softer than the previous mattress.. no biggy, just don't plan sitting on the side of the bed much. As for the overall sleep quality we absolutely love it. The space and overall support are great for our middle aged bodies. We are both 6'0 tall, one is overweight the other is not...and we both found it very comfortable. We did buy a Serta mattress pad from our TJX and found it very uncomfortable and the bed was extremely hot. So we went shopping for bed pads. We eventually found the Serta Plush mattress Protector Bamboo enhanced, breathable and ultra soft at our local Lowe's store. We recommend the protector pad as it is breathable and does not make the sheets and bed hot like the other mattress pad did. Yes, it was mentioned in the other posts about some bed pads making it hot so we thought just any Serta would be sufficient...we were wrong. Our loss your gain. Hope this helps anyone looking for a new bed.

So we have owned and slept on this mattress for 2 months now almost exactly. It is the most comfortable mattress I've ever owned, BUT, yesterday when changing sheets, I can already see the indents from each spot my husband and I sleep with the hump in the center. We are both under 200lbs so I'm surprised to see this so soon. This concerns me greatly! Still hasn't affected the comfort or sleep but will keep you posted.

Got this bed a week after ordering. Delivered to the door. It's somewhat heavy but not hard to move in the box. The box is approximately 12 x 12 x 4 ft high. I simply rocked it in and all the way to the bedroom. Much easier to move on hardwood and tile floors than on carpet. The wife has a bad shoulder and can't lift so it was all me. Got it up on the bed platform no problem, opened the top of the box, tipped it over and lifted the box off. The bed is tightly wrapped in plastic and folded over several times. The 14 inch bed is compressed to 1 1/2 inches. Don't be alarmed as it quickly grows when it is unwrapped. Removing the wrapping is a bit awkward. The easiest method seemed to be rolling it back and forth while unraveling the first layers of plastic. The last layer is vacuum sealed. There is plenty of excess on one end to cut it open without damaging the bed. Once cut open the bed expands fast. It was near fully expanded by the time I got the plastic off. Time from doorway to a fully made bed was about 1 hour by myself mind you. The dog, cat and I give it thumbs and paws up. It is on the firm side but softer than the foam mattress it replaced. It is firmer than a foam mattress we have from Sleep Experts. For me it's just right. I ordered the 12 inch Sleep to Go but changed the order to the 14. Sam's has the 12 inch in our store to try out. It was comfy but I second guessed it and changed to the 14. Sam's may have had this in the store but ordering on line and having it shipped to the door was more convenient. The 12 inch has almost all good reviews with a few mixed as either too hard or too soft. This bed has all good reviews but many less than the 12. My guess is the 14 is firm but a bit softer than the 12. The dog is sacked out belly up right now.

I bought this bed in Aug. 2020 but wanted to wait until I had time to really try it out before writing a review. Shipping time was average- it took about 2 weeks to arrive. I bought the Cal King size and it is heavy, so I would recommend removing it from the box and placing it where you want it to go. That way you only have to move it once. There were no problems with the mattress unrolling and expanding. I have never purchased a mattress without trying it out first, so I wasn't sure what to expect with this one. This memory foam mattress is so comfortable to sleep on! It is firm yet soft. I know this sounds crazy, but it supports you while you sleep- you don't sink into it- and it is also soft and comfortable. I only gave 4 stars because the description says "cool to the touch cover helps keep you comfortable all night long." I get hot at night so I thought this mattress and cover would help keep me cool, but that is not the case. I find it to be quite warm. To compensate, I took the thick comforter off my bed and only use a sheet. Works for me. Overall, I am very happy that I purchased this mattress. I am know sleeping better due this super comfortable bed. I sleep on my back mostly, but sometimes turn on my side. This mattress supports me no matter which position I sleep in. I feel like I am sleeping on a cloud.

The mattress never exceeded 9 inches height. Was significantly lower in some areas. It was a huge disappointment. Especially considering I could have bought the 10in one and saved the money. It's not the firmness that it promises. The only positive thing is that it does stay relatively cool and was delivered timely. Serta lost a lifelong customer with this poorly made mattress.
