Well made, but the lid does not open very wide to easily clean out Calcium build up.

Fast heat up

The last multiple temp kettle fell apart only after a few months of use. Lip mechanism came apart and lid won't opened no more then last month it died totally. Water will NEVER get hot. Had to buy this same model again because no one makes a multi temp kettle which I need for making different types of tea. If someone else made one, I would never buy Cuisinart again. Worse than made in China brand quality!

UNRELIABLE

I have found that this electric tea kettle does exactly what I bought it for: it heats water quickly.  I also like the sleek appearance of the kettle.  I trust the Quisinart name, and it's proven once again in this efficient and attractive appliance.
