Not recommended for a luxury suv.

I regret purchasing these tires. Their ride is too hard and noisy. There is excess molding process flaps of rubber on two tires which should have been trimmed off at the factory. The Latitude Touring HP is a much better choice for a 2018 Lexus GX 460. I fell ill and didn't have the opportunity to ask for other tires within the Michelin allotted time period.

The best Tire ever

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These are thick, robust and resistant tires...! Even though I just installed them and can't give you mileage or longevity yet, I am impressed with these tires. I have used them for 1 month and we have seen heavy rain, no hydroplaning, snow and ice storms, no slippage and mainly ground grip on hilly descents. They have behaved quite well in the elements. They also run very smooth and quiet, and I feel like my vehicle handles quite well with these tires. I drive frequently so it's only been 1 month but I've already put about 1000 miles on them and have no complaints. I'll add it to my review when I've gotten a little more use out of them and update their performance at that time. So far, so good. If you are looking for a good set, I tell you not to be indecisive, play it safe with Michelin tires, buy these. I am convinced that these tires will prove their worth for a long time... and I will buy again if/when necessary...! There are many tires, many cheaper, but the quality and price of a good tire, you can't go wrong.

Incredible all around performance

I drove 102,000 miles on my previous set, rotated every 10k, pushed them a bit further than I should have, down to 2/32 at best. I will never buy anything other than these tires, just replaced the OEM Bridgestones on my 2021 Grand Cherokee L, 63,000 on those. I'm hoping for 90k to 100k from the Defender M/S2 that I just put on. Anyone saying these tires are loud has vehicle issues. New Michelins compared to the roar from OEM Bridgestone is like the difference between a football stadium when they score, to a night in the Arizona desert.

Smooth ride

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Got these Michelin Defender LTX M/s2 tires to go our family's 2019 Toyota Sequoia. We were running on a different brand of tires but will have to admit that these tires give us quite a comfortable ride! They don't look quite as rugged as ones we've had but if these will last as long as they're rated for them I'll be more than happy.

Michelin Tires Are The Best (Period).

Michelin is the only tires I buy for our personal vehicles. Overall traction is great, and I feel safe during rainy day driving. Treadwear performance is excellent, and I have always accumulated at least 40,000 miles on every set of Michelin tires I have owned. I especially appreciate the comfort and handling they provide while driving my 4-wheel drive RAM pickup.

Loved the 1st set, have no doubt I'll love the new ones just as much

I put the Michelin Defender LTX M/S on my 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee when the stock Goodyear Forteras wore out and didn't even make it to 30,000 miles. I put over 90,000 miles on those Michelins and they still had about 3 or 4 thousand more miles left in them. Those things were amazing given my driving habits. I have a lead foot, I corner hard, brake hard, and I travel at speeds I won't mention. I still can't believe I got so many miles out of them. I even hit a pothole so bad, it bent my rim, but the tire had zero damage. Just got the newer M/S2 version. So far, I'm just as pleased. Quiet and comfortable, but seem to handle a bit better. One of the most important things I liked about the originals was the ability to avoid hydroplaning on the highway, which is a must in South Florida. They maintained consistent performance in wet weather through most of it's treadwear life, only diminishing slightly in the last couple thousand miles. The previous Goodyears were never as good, and even scary after 25,000 miles on them. I haven't had a chance to go through heavy downpours yet, but I assume these newer generation Michelins will be just as good, if not better than previous set. If I find anything not as good as the originals, I'll update. For now, I'm very happy and I better be for the price I paid. Lol. Seriously though, when you factor in the performance and longevity, these tires are actually cheaper than comparable tires in the long run.

Amazing tires

I have a lifted Ford F150 and I had a big mud tires and it was a ROUGH and LOUD ride. I had the Michelin Defenders installed today and it's like a completely different truck. It rides SO MUCH better and quiet it's hard to believe. I don't write a lot of reviews, but these tires are truly amazing and deserve a five star review.

Great tires but slightly under predecessor

I purchased these tires after 6 years and 30k miles on my Michelin Defender LTX M/S. I was a little leery with the UTQG Traction rating dropping to B from the previous A but with tread life listed similarly and great previous performance, I gave them a shot. I've driven 2,500 miles before posting the review. The M/S2 are fantastic on dry pavement and dissipate water very well. Unfortunately, around 35 F they become noticeably harder and break free much easier on cold or wet pavement compared to the previous M/S. With that, my initial assumption is that they have worse performance but herein lies the paradox. While they don't seem great getting moving and break free easy on acceleration, they seem hold true and stop well once in motion. Snow performance is similar to the aforementioned, but again cornering is fairly steady until acceleration is applied. The truck will still go where it's intended, but with considerably more wheel spin than the previous M/S in 2H. MPG appears to be comparable between the 113T SL M/S and 117T XL M/S2. Both ride quiet and have good feel when braking. They have a good look but not overly aggressive and don't pick up too many rocks. I would 100% recommend these for those who rarely experience snow or cold but would probably stick to swapping these out for Michelin Ice X for the cooler or snow filled months or plan to use full time AWD and the possibility of reduced tread life due to the additional slipping.

LTX MS2 has changed, expect Road Noise

I have purchased 6 sets of Michelin LTX MS tires, the last 3 sets are the newer Defender LTX MS2 version. I have no complaints with ride quality or performance, but the new versions have no had the same tread wear longevity, and the last 2 sets are much louder than they used to be. I first noticed it 6 months ago replacing a different brand with Michelins on an FJ Cruiser, but confirmed when replacing older MS2s with new ones today. Tire noise appeared instantly after install. Frequency and volume both become obvious approaching 50mph and after. Very disappointing change from what were the best tires I've ever had in 50 years. Not sure I can live with these.

Great tires, LOUSY ON-LINE REBATE PROCESS

I have been a fan of Michelin LTX tires for my light trucks for many years. The problem is with your rebate process. The on-line process is so cumbersome and riddled with technical roadblocks that many people without high level computer skills will simply NOT BE ABLE TO COMPLETE THE PROCESS! Are you kidding me, how many people actually have a FAX machine at home!
