I use the OpenRun Pro to listen to audiobooks when running. Far better than my AirPods which love to fall from one ear or the other during a run. I find it quite helpful that I can quickly pause the books directly from the OpenRun headset when a running app interrupts to advise with speed and distance reports. I also find its ability to store two (iPhone and MacBook) bluetooth connections to allow quick change of source is quite effective. (Even better might be 3 connections, so an Apple watch could also participate when desired?) On long drives, I find a full charge can give me 9 to 10 hours of listening, and the unit charges quite quickly when depleted. The behind the neck connecting rod is generally comfortable unless lying in bed (where its stiffness can be problematic for proper placement.) I would love to see a few gigs of memory be installed for completely autonomous audiobook use? Overall I like these so much that I have bought a few as gifts for running and biking friends, feeling the safety factor somewhat justifies the the high price.

Rests very easy around the neck when not in use, and rest very easily on the ears when used. Outstanding piece of kit, would highly recommend to anyone who wants an alternative to ear buds. They don’t cancel noise, but they allow you to hear ambient noise, which is quite useful. I also suspect they’re much better regarding hearing preservation.

The sound is better than I thought it would be. I wear while mountain biking and it lets me hear my surroundings. Also, I don't get the excessive wind noise caused by most in ear headphones. Just the normal wind noise since they sit in front of your ear by the helmet strap. I look forward to trying while skiing.

These are hands down the best open ear headphones I’ve ever owned. Lets me listen to my favorite music while cycling outside and keeps my ears open to hear my surroundings. Battery life is great and I live the new design of the Pro. This is an upgrade from the Aeropex (which I still use)! I also went with the mini size and love how it hugs closer to my head.

Battery life doesn't live through running a marathon in 5 hours. I bought these with excitement the week of and should have tested ahead of time, but they had a booth at the Pittsburgh marathon booth so figured I'd try. Nope- died at mile 22 for the hardest last miles of the marathon. Sound is great but don't buy if you are a long distance runner. Or a long distance traveler. Mine are dead yet again from a cross country flight.

Great headphone for long chopper flights. You can still hear it even with double ear protection. These sound better than I expected. Also great for taking walks for health. You can still hear everything around you while listening to music and podcasts. They don't sound as good as my bose headphones or studio headphones, but I wouldn't expect them to.

Love these headphone as a woman who runs very early in the morning. I feel a lot safer being able to hear my surroundings. I do think the headphones could go a tad bit louder without compromising the ability to hear our surroundings. At times I’m in the peak of my run and want to put the volume up but I already have it on the highest setting.

This is my third pair of Shokz, and I went with OpenRun Pro Mini because of the close fit to the back of my head. I like my others for when I'm up and about, but wanted to try the minis. I measured my noggin ear-to-ear around the back, and the fit guide said these would work. They do, and I use them almost every night listening to music as I fall asleep.

Great battery life. I work in a manufacturing plant it’s loud all day I need to wear ear protection. these allow me to listen to music or audiobook for my 10 hour shift and still finish the day with medium to low battery roughly 6 hours of active listening. These are comfortable to wear all day. I have even forgot that I have them on and was panic searching for them because they were not in the case.

Happy with my OpenRun Pro headphones. Bought these mainly to listen to music when working in the yard and to replace the inoperable radio in my work trucks a few days a week. I mow, weedeat, and pressure wash with these around the house. With my protective safety earmuffs on and these, I can hear my music easily. It's a little harder to hear over the sound of the old Freightliner and Peterbilt trucks at work, but I adjust where they sit and make do. I obviously don't want to cover/plug my ears while CDL driving. Actually easier to hear in the front end loader than the trucks with the turbo whine. I can hear my music, directions from maps, calls, texts etc. Very pleased with my headsets.
