at one time when you bought a "double roll" it was actually double the number of sheets per roll. But since no one makes single rolls anymore, you can't verify that the number is in fact doubled. I recently bought a small package of a generic brand because I ran out of Charmin and the number of sheets on this generic single roll paper was more than what Charmin is claiming to be a "double Roll"

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] With the Charmin Ultra Strong, you instantly feel the strength of the roll. Although it seems the roll is smaller than normal, you definitely use much less than a normal roll. Though it did seem thicker than normal, it seemed like it lacked in softness. I liked how you only needed minimal squares compared to normal rolls which need multiple squares, but I wish that it was a little more soft.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] In my experience with Charmin Ultra Song I found it to just as it states, "Strong". The toilet paper is really strong as the product states. It will not break on you or crumble to pieces which is a great feature. The only problem I found was you lose comfort with such a strong toilet tissue. It is a little harsh on the bottom in my opinion. I prefer a softer blend of tissue but this is just my opinion. I can see the toughness and durability being a positive for a lot of people. My wife prefered this product over some of the tissues I prefer. My children however were torn as to weather or not they liked it. As a household we were split down the middle on this one. I think that it comes down to your preference with Charmin Ultra Strong. If you prefer a quality strong toilet tissue this will be great for you. If you are more like me and prefer a little bit of softness you may want to consider a different product. In conclusion great product but not for me.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] my wife buys all the household items, toilet paper, paper towels, cleaning supplies etc....I am always telling her to not be cheap when it comes to buying toilet paper but that's not how my wife does things, she has this way of thinking that all products are about the same, its just a "name" on the label. So when I got invited to try this toilet paper I was pretty excited. I'm a guy, I go to the bathroom alot and I like my toilet paper to feel good on my behind :) so when this came in the mail, I quickly put the rolls in the bathrooms I use, and let me tell you I was pretty satisfied when I used it. First off the toilet paper is so soft!! Second, it is nice and thick so I didn't have to use as much of it, so the toilet paper last longer, which is something I try to tell me wife all the time, a product might cost a little more, BUT if the quality is better and makes it last longer then it is worth it. Basically, I am very happy with this toilet paper, I hope my wife will start buying it, she did comment to me on it and tell me that she did notice a difference from what she usually buys to this brand and how it does feel nicer. I would recommend this product to anyone who is looking for a nice soft, but durable toilet paper

My family has used Charmin for years, but I notices some time ago that the rolls were getting narrower and the quality cheaper. The paper is rough and it not pleasant when a persons fingers poke through it at the end of the job. I am done with Charmin. If you bring back your old quality I am willing to give it a try once more.

First of all, with every roll I use less than any other brand I tried which means a roll lasts me far longer than any other. Yes it's strong but also soft. I live on a strict budget and Charmin Ultra Strong is the only bathroom tissue I buy. A GREAT VALUE! I guarantee that if you buy Charmin Ultra Strong it will be the only tissue you buy.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I don't CARE what other qualities Charmin's Ultra Strong "Mega Roll" has.Obviously it's a quality tissue but what I care about after looking at and MEASURING every toilet tissue in the store is that Charmin is still putting out a product that fits on my toilet paper roller without looking puny and cockeyed because half an inch was cut off its width. The great toilet paper conspiracy apparently dictated that every single corporation would cut this crucial half inch off the width of their products, thereby cheating us consumers out of quite a bit of tissue and at the same time making those of us who go crazy about aesthetic issues like the fit of toilet paper on the roller desperate. Charmin, too, cut that half inch off most of their tissue products, but apparently a twinge of conscience made them put out one tissue product---the Mega Roll--- with the critical half inch (or most of it) restored so we perfectionists could sleep at night after all. Thank you Charmin.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Now I know why those Charmin bears look so happy, it's the Charmin ultra strong! My family regularly uses Charmin already but had not tried this particular version. When we got the 4 pack to test out free as part of this Bzz campaign, I could almost tell how extra thick it was even inside the package! I put one roll of the Ultra Strong in each of our three bathrooms so that my wife, son and myself to give it a go when we had to go. ;) All of us noticed the same thing which was we didn't have to use nearly the same amount of tissue per "transaction". It was definitely a noticeable different in the feel and the strength. It was very soft on the bottom and there was no need to overcompensate to avoid the dreaded tearing of the tissue. I also have to add that I also really liked this product when I would use it on my nose. When I had to blow my nose I could actually do it with only two and sometimes just one sheet! I would say my only small complaint is I would like to see there be a little more actual number of sheets on a roll. I know that the fact this tissue is so thick and strong make you not have to use nearly as much, but it would be nice to have a bit more on the roll...especially if someone in the house still has a tough time remembering to use less.....I am looking at YOU my son! ;)
