Yes, it protects against the messy fingers that can happen with flimsy paper but I do like something a little softer. I still would absolutely buy this before a bargain brand or something like Scott.

The tissue was super absorbent, durable, and provided comfort. I will definitely consider this brand when shopping for our needs in the future.

If you are paying for this product you are not getting your whole money's worth. They did this a while back and I thought consumer pressure would convince them this was not a good business idea, I guessed wrong. I won't be purchasing Charmin anymore, until they bring back that inch.

You know you can get CLEAN without making an additional mess. Charmin Ultra Strong Toilet Paper is very strong and doesn't fall apart. The mega rolls are the best because they last really long and you are not constantly changing rolls. This is only Toilet paper I have been buying lately.

I understand the point is strength, but the softness and texture I love was lost in translation. It did the job just fine, I just didn't care for the texture of the paper. Furthermore, although it was a double roll, I have burned through all four in a short period of time. For me quality and cost are important. I'm not sure if I would purchase this particular brand of Charmin in the future.

Sure I have seen the cute commercials with the bears and the TP stuck to their backside, but really could their claims be that legitimate? You bet they could. From the moment you open the package and pull out the first roll, you can feel the difference. It feels thicker and stronger, yet it doesn’t sacrifice the softness – in fact it may be softer too! I by a cheaper brand mostly because of the cost, but where I would use 3 or 4 sheets of the cheap brand, I only need at most 2 of the Charmin Ultra Strong sheets. The thickness of the Charmin and the strength of the paper lets you use less. It may not be the cheapest brand on the store shelf, but it is going to be cheaper to use at home when you need less than the cheap brand.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My reasons for needing quality toilet paper may be quite different than most people.In April of this year, I had major surgery that removed my colon. Through the miracle of modern science, they were able to reattach my small intestine so it appears that I function normally. What people don't realize is that I now have 4 - 8 bowel movements a day and will for the rest of my life. A small price to pay to be cancer free! Because of my frequent visits to the bathroom, I want (and need) a toilet paper that is strong, yet soft enough to be used often. I am happy to say that this new Charmin Ultra Strong is just that product. I actually have found that I use less of this product than others that I have tried so far. I wholeheartedly endorse this product and will tell others about what I have found!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received my package of Charmin Ultra, just in time for a family gathering that I was hosting. I substituted my regular toilet paper with the Charmin Ultra and left the package on the bathroom counter. I do have to say that I did have to open the discussion, but once opened, most everyone agreed that the Charmin Ultra was noticeably softer than their regular toilet paper. I showed them the package and most everyone did say that they would look for Charmin next trip to the store or when they need to purchase toilet paper. One other item I did make note of, was there were several young children attending the party, and I did observe that the Charmin Ultra came in a smaller diameter roll than my current toilet paper and I had to change out the roll a couple of times during the day. I'm not sure if this was just because I am not used to having a house full of people especially several children or the size of the roll. Just saying!
