[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Most people do not like to talk about the kind of bathroom tissue that they use. I am one who can talk about it, but just don't know what one should say. I found that the tissue is very thick. For some this may be a good thing and for others this may be a bad thing. (Clogged toilets!) I found it to be very soft and comfortable to use. I am not use to using something as thick as the Charmin Ultra Strong. I do not think that the thickness is worth the extra price and the amount that you get. I am glad that I got to try this product out through BzzAgent, but I would probably only buy this if the stores were out of facial tissue and I really needed something soft for my nose.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My review rating is strictly based on the quality of the paper, I'll expand on this particular package more a little later. It's strong enough to use only 2 squares in a pinch, while 3 squares is as strong and comfortable as 4 or 5 of any other quality brand. But even more importantly it's low linting unlike most other "soft" toilet papers. I am on public sewers so I don't worry at all about the extra bulk of the tissues, if you're on septic these are rated as safe, but of course safe and ideal may be two different things... I will say you can use less than other thinner brands so it should be a wash. As for the Double (2x) Roll vs Regular (1x), vs Big Roll (1.5x) vs Mega Roll (4x)... I'm split between this and the Mega roll as the best size to get. On one hand I hate changing rolls out all the time (which is why I don't buy the smaller sizes), but the Mega roll makes it too easy to take more paper than you need when you first put the roll on. So this is probably the best compromise but I'd like to see a 2.5x or 3x size roll. So for the length of the roll I would rate this pack as 4 and a half stars. As for marketing games and the possibly narrower size. I think everyone is right that it is narrower. I TP used to store very tightly when stack on top of each other on the shelf and now there's a little extra room. For me it's a non-issue as I don't rely on that dimension enough to notice, and it's a little easier for me to store... But I could see how it could concern some people, unfortunately there isn't a better alternative. As for a decrease in softness, again it's not one that I could notice and still better than the alternatives (since I find ultra soft tissues too linty or weak).

I have been a Charmin customer for almost 4 decades, and even when I could not afford brand names of most products, always bought Charmin toilet tissue. But when they made the rolls narrow, I have had to reconsider. Charmin, please LISTEN to your customers, and make the rolls the old width again. It would be worth the small price increase to get the product I actually want.

I have been using Ultra Strong for years. What happened? I have noticed I have to use more squares and it is thinner too. I decided to find out if anything had changed and sure enough it wasn't my imagination. Guess it is time to find another brand who cares about their product. I was always willing to pay more because Charmin used to be a class above the rest!

I grew up with the Charmin name; and we had (until several years ago) been using Charmin Ultra Soft within my own family. However, once we discovered Charmin Ultra Strong, the search was OVER! In my own humble opinion, there is no other bathroom tissue quite like Charmin Ultra Strong. It lives up to its name and then some. 1) The strength is evident in the process. The required number of TP tissues is significantly lower than that of any brand we have tried. 2) The texture is as appealing as that of Charmin Ultra Soft, while significantly improving on "quality of duty" so-to-speak! 3) The durability is matched by none on the market today. The cleanliness of process without residue of the product being left "behind" (pun intended) is excellent! With being a superior product as detailed above, the ultimate payoff from Charmin Ultra Strong comes in the form of money savings: that is, less product used per "session" turns into money saved at the store! Thank you to the Charmin Team for keeping my family Happy/Healthy/Wealthy!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Not sure the cost of this product but the actual product itself wasn't that good. It was thick but was stiff. So when you go down below to wipe, its like using a rough sandpaper. Not that fun if you smell what I'm stepping in. The rolls seemed to be smaller to meaning less toilet paper to work with. At the end of the day, I wasn't impressed and I would not recommend this product

Hi. Ive been using Charmin Red for years, when it first came out I was telling everyone about this great product. Sadly though the quality was been steadily dropping, shame it's become like an average tp. Step up PG, go back to making it like you did when it first came out.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] When it comes to TP it is my opinion the charmin ultra strong is truly the King id throne, pun intended. Charmin is the perfect combination of strength and softness. I find that I have to use far less of charmin per use than with the cheaper brands. Charmin ultra strong leaves me feeling nice and clean every time. I plan on continuing to use Charmin Ultra Strong for the foreseeable future.
