Seems that the squares are now smaller, not as wide so you use more to do the same job. Equals more money for supplier as you use it faster and buy more in my opinion.

This toilet paper is ok. I prefer the older one. Also they put way too much glue on the rolls to hold them together. Waste too much toilet paper opening the roll.

Charmin Ultra Strong quality went bad during Covid (outsourced to a crummy company?) and apparently never came back with a quality product. It's like using strips of Newspaper instead of good TP. RETURNED!

This is better than other brands but it isn’t as strong as it used to be. I’ve noticed with the last couple of packages we’ve gotten that it breaks through when using it and in the past that wasn’t so.

I’m thinking about changing the brand because I noticed a difference in quality. We loved this brand because it doesn’t build up in pipes/ cause back up but is strong enough to protect our hands. I’ve experienced tears this year.

The perforations are not deep enough. I remember the great toilet paper runs of 2019 and I have grown accustomed to jamming one in the hole and expecting a skid mark free movement. The substandard perforations occasionally force me into a two square situational dilemma. I have not needed to restock my hole cleaning supplies since 2022 because of the panic buying in 2019 but because my mind is so weak I still buy a truck load at a time. I have an emergency supply of toilet paper and am probably going to be able to clean my cracker until 2050, but I’m sad that I have to use 2 squares in a single square situation.

Not as soft as Charmin Ultra soft, but it is strong and only tears at the perforations as designed. Don't have to worry about trying to use half-squares or doubling due to being too thin. Biggest downside is only 270 squares per roll making it expensive.

I now prefer using the red - Ultra Strong Charmin. Used to use the blue Ultra Soft, but it would leave paper bits. Never liked that. The Ultra Strong is still soft enough. Only dislike is that it still does tear along the perforated sheets. But haven't tried the new curved "zig-zag" perforations yet.
