I had exclusively used Charmin Ultra Strong for my family for years. This favorite briefly disappeared from store shelves at the beginning of the pandemic. Upon it's return, I was elated to have it back. Unfortunately, it's not the same. It's very rough and seems thinner. I originally though we somehow got a counterfeit pack but a second pack confirmed it was a change in the real product. Then I wondered if it was a temporary change that allowed Charmin to roll out paper more quickly. I see from Charmin's response that this was a product "improvement". Charmin, as you can see by all of your new one-star reviews, your texture change was not an improvement. It pains me to say it but I can't wait to finish the rest of the Charmin so we can move onto a different brand. Goodbye 2020 and Charmin, hello 2021 and toilet paper that doesn't feel like a cactus.

If you like using a beach towel with loads of fabric softener to dry off with, then you would like this in comparison. Yes, you do need less, and it's strong; however it's a little different in the way that it works...

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Charmin's Ultra Strong is a consistent and well made toilet paper. It's made of strong paper, but (no pun intended) that was not the best part. This paper is also soft and required less use than any other our family has tried. Instead of unrolling a long sleeve of paper with each pull we could use a few papers at a time with the same results. Overall Charmin has made a very absorbent, soft, and overall quality paper in the Ultra Strong. This means good things for our plumbing system as well as our home's plumbing system down the line. Highly recommended!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] the charmin I used wasn't anything too special it felt like any typical double roll brand..charmin has always been a reliable brand name.but this product isn't anything new and special..it worked like any other toilet paper I have ever used before.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The quality of the tissue is great. It's thick and strong. Quite absorbent. The only issue I found is that it may be too thick. I found that after a while, my plumbing was actually having some issues handling this tissue and didn't seem to flush as well. Since going back to a different tissue, my flushing issues have subsided.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Charmin® Ultra Strong is soft. But compared to my regular toilet paper, you have to use a little more than normal. Charmin is thick but not thick enough. I would still recommend Charmin to friends and family.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I usually buy another brand. But the strength and comfort of this Charmin product is amazing! Also it usually takes the leading brand a few extra pieces of t.p. to do the job, but the ply on this brand is very thick and doesn't break easily.

It absorbs well, and best of all no ripping. No compromising on the softness and feel on your skin and leaves you feeling clean. I am happy to say this toilet paper is great.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We have tried different varieties but I will admit Charmin is one of our top 2 toilet papers. Very good product, soft and does the job. This particular one, Ultra Strong, is that..it does not fall apart. It is still strong and works. I was worried it might not be good for our septic system, but am not worried anymore. You should have seen how all excited we were when this came in the mail, like we won the lottery or something...too funny. I really like Charmin Ultra Strong, I will continue to look for it in the store and buy this one. Thank you!

Charmin Ultra Strong (Red) is very resillient: but sacrifices comfort for brute strength. For big messes, red's the one for the job, but for sensitive hineys, try Charmin Ultra Soft (Blue)!
