Nice product , took the wife and I about 8 hours to put this together , the temperature was in the 90’s. The instructions are easy to follow and you won’t be disappointed. Just buy it !

Arrived with no damage. Easy instructions. Need two people due to weight, but completed set up in 12 hours. Exactly want we wanted. Nice height. We sit out on deck a lot as we live on waterfront property. Nice shade, can open if needed.

My husband was able to assemble on his own. It looks beautiful! One bolt missing and customer service kindly and quickly sent us the missing piece!

So far we have been very happy with this pergola. The fit, finish and quality are top notch, especially for the competitive price point. It is very strong and sturdy as well. Installation was easy, the instructions were clear and simple. Once I understood the big picture of how it is assembled, it became even easier. My only complaint is the anchoring. Our concrete patio is only a few years old and is 5000psi fiber reinforced. After the challenge of drilling it, the provided concrete screws really struggled. Most of them wouldn't fully seat, and one of the screw heads sheared off. I ended up switching to expansion anchors which worked better. I would have liked to go with a larger anchor, however the base plate and holes really only allowed for 1/4", or maybe 5/16" anchors. We live in an area with high winds, and I would have liked for a bit wider baseplate, which would add some additional rotational / moment resistance, along with the ability to install a larger anchor. One last thing, a touch up paint kit would be nice as I did manage to scratch a few places during installation, and I'd like to prevent future rust. Nothing that I can't source on my own though. Overall, 5 stars, we're extremely happy with our purchase, it has really transformed our space.

I live in the Midwest and we get frequent wind storms in the spring, so I was looking for a pergola that can stand a high wind and snow load. Since putting this up almost every day we've had 20mph wind with gusts around 40mph. I've seen no movement or rattling during these windy days. It's pretty heavy, coming in four boxes all around 125lbs for the 12x10, but not unmanageable. I was able to construct this in a few hours with one other guy. The gutters work but won't deflect all water, some will spill over them, but if you're directly under the pergola with the louvers closed you won't get wet. Overall very happy with this product.

I completed this by myself. I used 6 lifetime picnic tables to build and slide around as I manueverd the pieces with ease. It toom me about 15 hours in total. It would have been nice to explain the tools added that were available for use.

Satisfied with the product, but VERY DISAPPOINTED IN $300 OFF 5 WEEKS AFTER PURCHASE. Sam's only will match price up to 3 weeks after purchase. So much for membership advantages!!!!

Some part have is not match or not aligned

Just had it delivered yesterday and got almost halfway thru the assembly today and hit a dead end due to missing parts. I am missing the gutter splices, 2 of them. I have this scattered all over my yard in the middle of assembly and not happy. I hired someone to help as well and can’t complete job. I called the number provided for missing parts and since it is the weekend they can’t get parts out until Monday hopefully

The pergola arrived quickly and looked beautiful once assembled. We have now owned it for one year. Unfortunately, it is constructed of thin, low‑quality metal, and within just a few weeks of installation, wind caused the structure to lean and resulted in two broken louvers. We consistently followed the manufacturer's instructions and ensured the louvers were kept in the vertical position during windy conditions. My husband is a contractor with extensive experience building homes and took great care during assembly. Throughout the process, he expressed concerns about the lightweight metal and questioned whether it would withstand high winds—concerns that unfortunately proved to be valid. We have since noticed Backyard Discovery's website that they have added corner braces to newer versions of this pergola, which suggests the company may have recognized durability issues with the design we purchased. We live in Colorado, where sustained winds of 10–30 mph are common, with occasional gusts reaching up to 70 mph. Despite being advertised as capable of withstanding winds up to 100 mph, this pergola has clearly not met that standard in our experience. My husband ultimately had to tie it down to prevent further leaning. I plan to contact Sam's Club to see if a return or resolution is possible. If neither Sam's Club nor Backyard Discovery is willing to make this right, this will result in a loss of over $2,000 for a product that did not perform as advertised.
