Sometimes I just need a small piece and sometimes I need a whole paper towel section. It fits all needs and doesn't take away from it's efficiency.

I will never do that again since I have tried bounty select a size. I only needed one to clean up the mess my 4 year old made. It is soft and very absorbent much much better than the cheap paper towels I bought before.

It really does soak up every mess. The cheaper ones try, but they are never the same quality or do the job as well. I love the select a size. It makes me feel like I am getting more for my dollar and not getting wasting. I always go for Bounty.

I made homemade potato chips for the first time on SuperBowl Sunday. In total, I used about six russet potatoes that I ran through my mandolin. After soaking the slices, I wrapped them in small batches in Bounty paper towels. I never had to replace the towels despite using them to wrap about a dozen batches of potato slices. I then fried each batch in oil and placed them on a paper towel that was suspended over a mixing bowl. I was able to use the same Bounty paper towel for all the batches, despite the fact that the potato slices were dripping in oil. The towel absorbed batch after batch of oil without tearing. They are the only paper towels I use. Growing up Bounty was the only brand my mom used and as a got older I tried cheaper brands but I always went back to Bounty. I really love the select a size because most of the time I don't need a full size sheet to wipe up a spill, so the smallest size is perfect without wasting my towels.

(I hear they use more paper. OK.) However, recently we are finding them difficult to tear off the roll. We always buy select-a-size and I think the perforations changed at some point so that they are much harder to tear cleanly. I’m hoping this is temporary.

I’ve included a picture. I tested the Bounty vs a Kroger brand select a size towel, each against 1 teaspoonful of water. The Bounty is on the top. As you can see, the water was trapped in a smaller area… less towel used for the spill. The towel feels heavier and more cloth like than the store brand. The con is that the Kroger brand towel actually separates again and you can easily select a sheet half the size of the Bounty. So.. so my using what you need. If I could mash the two concepts together, it would be a 5 star product.

Why??? I cannot understand why they are working their way back to larger paper towel sheets when so many of their customers were extrememly happy with the orignal size. It may be time to go back to the full size Scot paper towels since Bounty is taking away the reason why I bought their select-a-size towels.

There are no other paper towels that compare as far as I'm concerned. I use less because I select the size I need for the task at hand. With three kitties and one dog and grandchildren there's always something that needs to be wiped and Bounty fills the bill.The quality is outstanding. Bounty speaks for itself, there is really no comparison.

It is absorbent, strong and long lasting because in my household if it is not doing a tough job where it just doesn't get worn down to nothing it is rinsed and reused. I love it!!
