Quality

This is a high quality set that I can see lasting years to come. My kids range from preschool to middle school and they all enjoy this set. We didn't have any issues putting it together - in the dark on Christmas Eve. I love the earth tone colors and low maintenance this set offers. The swings have a nice cover over the chains that is nice for little hands. It is tall enough I can even use the swings and monkey bars without my feet touching (I'm 5' 6"). I had the set delivered and it was crated very well. I'm happy we chose this set over a wooden one.

Who Knew?

I purchased this set because my darling grandkids had outgrown the cheapo swing set I bought at a discount store. They came and delivered and set it up in the snow. I was amazed how fast they cleared a spot and set it up in the freezing cold. But the thing I was most surprised at, is that grandma and grandpa can now play like kids on the swing set. Who knew? What a fun treat that we can interact with the kids even more. It will bring us together and if we can swing on it the kids won't be outgrowing it until they out grow us.

Super Sturdy!

I purchased this for our new play area at our church and the kids love it!! The only complaint I have is that the bolts sent with this swingset were very poor. Our Pastor put it together, who has 4 kids who love to play on it, and said that he finally just threw the bolts away and went to the lumber yard and purchased some that were heavy enough to do the job. The rest of my thoughts are only raves, it's tough and large enough for several children to play on it safely with lots of fun activities to choose from!

For kids of all ages and maintenance free!!!

We bought this swing set when my oldest was 3. At that time she needed my hands-on supervision but she would happily swing and slide for over an hour; we added an infant swing when our 2nd child arrived and she loved to swing too. In our previous house, this set with a six foot safety perimeter took up our entire (small) backyard, but it was so worth it because it kept my kids active for 1-2 hours a day when the weather cooperated. Sweet memories. We bought this set with the long-term in mind. Now that our kids are 2 and almost-6, we really appreciate our investment as one that they'll use for at least another decade. We frequently have visitors aged up to 11 years old and they all gravitate to it. Adults even like to swing on it because the swing seats are comfy even for adult sized behinds. It's wonderful that it requires NO MAINTENANCE. So many families we know bought wooden structures that weather over time, get splintery and require maintenance. In my observation, fussy wood structures just don't appeal to 4-year-olds, 12-year-olds and adults alike as our swing set does. I'm back on the LIfetime website to look for the manual and dimensions so we can plan out the swing set area for our new house. We just started moving in and after my husband assembled the set, I can't keep the kids off of it! The first thing we're doing in our new (much, much bigger) yard is leveling a swing set area and adding 12" of playground bark chips to keep everyone as safe as we can. The set is totally stable and doesn't require any staking, but my 5 year old is challenging herself more and more on the monkey bars and trapeze these days. Obviously, I strongly recommend this swing set. We're so glad we bought one 2+ years ago. What else does a child need besides to swing, slide and climb except maybe some sticks and mud? And what parent or grandparent doesn't want something that gets their kiddos outside and doesn't require anything but assembly and bark chips? Easy decision.

Solid well built set - thanks!!

We purchased a swingset for our three children in April and they have been enjoying it since. Last weekend a powerful thunderstorm went through the area and lost a few trees in our yard, one of them landing directly on the set. Thanks to the durability of the product and its solid construction I am happy to say that the set is intact with nothing more than minor cosmetic scratches. Thank you for making such a solid product. Money well spent!!

We own multiple Lifetime products

We own this swings, a climbing done, and the airplane teeter-totter. We are supremely satisfied with ALL of these products. We wanted durability and appearance so we decided against all the high-maintenance wooden play structures (which we find ugly after 1 season). So the equipment passes our high standards. But most importantly, the kids LOVE their playsets. Who could ask for more?

Very strong and looks great!

My husband and I put this together in about 2 hrs , we had no problems with the bolts as some reviews did. Only thing needed is something to puncture through the slide to get the bolts through. Its very durable and the swings are strong, the rubber guards on the swings are great for the kids. I am very happy. I chose this over the wooden play set because its easy to put together and no maintaining required plus this will probably last my kids into there teens.

Well Engineered, Well Made, Very Good Instructions

I had no problems putting the unit together. I do have a few suggestions that I will note. It was ordered direct and shipped to my daughter's home. 2 boxes plus slide in a wooden crate. Took about 5 hours to put together with my 4 year old helper (Photo 1). All the components were wrapped with a thin film material for protection (Photo 2). All hardware was packaged on cardboard and identified. Suggestions: 1. the directions say to not overtighten. There is a thread lock material on the bolts so some resistance is normal. It is easy to overtighten the swing pendulums. Stop tightening when the supports start to bend. The gap between the support and the pendulum is normal (Photo 3). 2. Most BZO bolt assembly is through the tubes and if the BTS Nut is in place, as much as you think you are positioning the bolt to hit the blind nut, you will be off. It is far easier to put the bolt through and then orient by eye that the bolt is centered to the opposing opening that the nut goes through. Then put the nut through the opening and screw on to the bolt. Remember, it should go on easily and then meet resistance (the thread lock material). If it doesn't go on easily don't force it as you may be crossthreading the nut to the bolt. Also, where the holes are near the ends of the tubes, look through the end of the tube to position the bolt to the nut. Far easier than working blind. 3. The directions don't call for a level. You need one to level the unit side to side and front to back. 4. After the monkeybar frame is standing upright and the triangular leg and swing support horizontal is attached, I would suggest using 2 phillips screwdrivers in place of the bolts until leveling and positioning is correct. Again, no mention is made of leveling but you need to get the leg assembly in place and the added play with the screwdrivers lets you position everything before putting the bolts in. (Photo 4). Finished successfully! (Photo 5). Full disclosure, I got my Mechanical Engineering Degree 40 years ago and I have put together numerous swing sets and I repeat that this is very well engineered, the instructions are well done and it was well packaged. My comments are to help others that haven't tackled a project like this. Sorry, the website wouldn't upload my photos. Awaiting assistance from the website. Anthony
