The bar was satisfying and filling. The texture is nice, not hard or difficult to chew, like some protein bars. The nutrition facts were fantastic, with only 6g fat, single digit sugars, and double digit protein. This was a requirement from a nutritionist I have visited in the past... single digit sugars, double digit protein. These bars are a nice change from typical protein bars. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Kellogg's Special K Strawberry Protein Meal Bars are the perfect snack. They are sweet & will satisfy a craving, but they are not totally filling. Even though they are called meal bars they are more of a large snack bar.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was excited to try the strawberry protein meal bar until I actually tried it. First, the packaging makes the bar look larger than it is. I know this is common practice, but disappointing, nonetheless. Moving on to actually eating the meal bar, the first bite I had I was expecting something fantastic because it has the extra icing on the end pieces. Sadly, I found this bar to be extremely grainy - not quite as bad as eating sand but close. It leaves behind a bunch of grainy pieces in my mouth after every bite. Not the worst thing ever but it's not that pleasant to eat. Then, where the heck is the flavor? I mean, I could not taste any strawberry at all. Not even a hint of strawberry. I saw little red pieces in the bar that made me think there would be a strawberry taste but no, there just wasn't. Hopefully it'll hold me over for a little while, but I can't say I'm excited to eat any more of these. I might try the peanut butter or chocolate caramel if I can find them anywhere in stores, but I certainly would not be buying the strawberry ones in the future, nor recommending them. They are too expensive to be that lacking in flavor or in enjoyment in eating them. The one good thing is they were so lacking in flavor there was not a gross aftertaste that you sometimes get with other protein bars. I guess that makes them okay.

They taste amazing and give me that pick me up that I need through my day, they are not filling in my mind, but they make a nice quick snack that gives you some energy if your feeling tired, a great source of protein in every bar! Cant wait to try all the flavors!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The strawberry flavor is delicious. It’s my go to flavor as it’s perfectly sweet and not overpowering. I enjoyed these for breakfast and mid day snacking. I was satisfied after eating them and would love to try the caramel flavor next.

The strawberry flavor is kind of artificial tasting (not that I expected fresh strawberry flavor in in a granola bar, but the imitation flavor was kind of strong.) It was not so off putting that I wouldn’t buy them, however. They are pretty sweet, so they not only satisfy the hunger portion but also the sweet craving I had as well. I would definitely buy again.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Ok. The store was out of all of the 12 gram options ( so you know they must be awesome) right? I got the caramel cashew 8 gram. They have a great flavor, not too sweet. I have had these as an midday pick me up instead of caffeine or candy. Thank you for allowing me and my family to try these. Will buy again, for sure.

I preferred the Special K hands down. There is no gritty texture, it was easy to bite into and chew, and the overall flavor was tasty. I would choose the Special K brand hands down.
