Customer reviews for Vitamix A2500 Bundle with 48oz Aer Disc Container forGreat starter blender
For a blender with a ton of bells and whistles I was a bit overwhelmed but I wanted to be sure I purchased the one that had all the benefits and not entirely too costly since I was not familiar with the Vitamix line of products. It has not disappointed, very functional and stylish. I don't like that the dial doesn't have the soft feel like some of the other models on display but I liked the digital timer and the smart features.
favorite in my kitchen
I have had my Vitamix for bout almost 6 month and love it. I didn't want to spend that much on a blender but I had several blender that did not do half of what the Vitamix do. got tired of buying blenders. I use this blender almost everyday and still going strong ]. I also love that it have a 10 year warranty if anything happen.
Smooth smoothies!
I’ve only had this 2 days, but my whole family loves this machine! We have already made a Dole Whip, smoothie bowl, and ice cream drink. They all turned out creamy and smooth. We’ve had a Blendtec for 8 years, but felt we were missing out on really smooth smoothies. The tamper is helpful in getting the perfectly blended smoothies and desserts. It is expensive, but so is Tropical Smoothie Cafe and Smoothie King! So far, we are satisfied customers!
Hated it, took it back
I bought this Vitamix a month ago and sent it back for a refund. I had a PRO 750 that I sold to buy the new model and I am sick to my stomach I did. This blender looks and feels incredibly cheap, it's lightweight, made mostly of plastic, and I hate the new lid, especially how ingredients kick back up into the lid when blending which never happened with any of the rubber lids from my other 4 Vitamix blender I've owned over the last 4 years. Now, I'm waiting for my refund to go back into my account so I can purchase a new PRO 750 again (stainless steel model). Seriously disappointed with this new Ascent. By the way, speaking of the new self-detect technology, I hate it. I don't like having to depend on the blender to "read" the container. I'd rather just pop the blender on, blend and go. The new lid also looks incredibly cheap versus the old rubber container, as do the knobs on the new Ascent. I can't believe Vitamix would "degrade" their new models with cheap plastic, especially around the base. I thought I was getting an upgrade and have never been so disappointed in my life. Can't wait to get my new PRO 750 to have the best Vitamix option back in my opinion!
Great blender ever
I bought a vitamix machine a year ago and have been using it more than twice a week so far. I make green smoothie mainly for me and strawberry smoothie for kids. Compared to previous machines, it can be made very smoothly and quickly. The sound is powerful, but as I use it, I get used to it and I am very satisfied with it so far.
Multiple issues until it finally stopped working
I bought my Vitamix 10 months ago and after multiple issues with overheating, not blending even simple recipes it has completely stopped working. I don't blend heavy or difficult things, smoothies, hummus, plant milk mainly, but nevertheless, this machine couldn't handle it. Also, I reached out to customer service and support for a week before giving up and finally calling directly. Very poor experience all around. This is my second bad experience with Vitamix - my previous model wasn't much better than a Ninja or basic blender either - but I thought it might be a lemon. Either I've had two lemons, or this is just not worth the hype.
Everything I Need in a Blender!
Pros: Powerful, muscular machine. Sleek, modern look without looking “space age” or flashy. Voluminous blender cup is great for batch prep / cooking. Latch on top prevents splashing. Easy to clean and dishwasher safe. Tamping wand is awesome for blending thicker concoctions. Easy to adjust blending power based on your needs. Three timed blending modes allow you to walk away from the blender (great if you’re a kitchen multi-tasker like me!). Hot soup mode is amazing. It only takes 6 minutes to blend/heat raw ingredients for the perfect hot soup. Pulse mode is perfect for quick salsas and the like. Creates the smoothest texture for smoothies / ice cream / soups I’ve ever had from a blender (it’s like silk). Hard-bound recipe book included in the package is gorgeous, inspiring and utilitarian. Vitamix really went above and beyond with it! User-friendly buttons make the experience all-ages appropriate. Can also make nut butters, grind grains into flour and mix dough! Cons: Takes up a good deal of counter space. The larger blender cup doesn’t handle small amounts of ingredients well (e.g doesn’t effectively grind a small amount of flax seed). The smaller blender cups — which you have to buy seperately — would handle small amounts very well, I’m sure. Overall: This is an incredibly versatile, user friendly machine perfect for all ages and all levels of kitchen experience. I use my blender multiple times a day, for many different purposes — from grinding my own flours to making nut butter, spreads, mixing doughs, making smoothies, ice cream, soups. You name it, I use my blender for it. I find this blender versatile enough that I may not ever break out my food processor again (which I use mostly for blending cookie doughs, batch prep, making date paste and cake batter). It has definitely replaced the smaller blender I’ve been using (from a competitive brand). 5 out of 5 stars, for sure! Disclaimer: I received a free blender in exchange for an honest review. All opinions and words are my own.
Huge Upgrade!
First time splurging on a high-end blender and after using it for the first time, it became clear why Vitamix has the reputation it does. Smoothie was creamy and delicious, and I loved being able to use the preset smoothie switch on the A2500 model so that it automatically shuts itself off when it's done. Highly recommend!
Great replacement for my 5200
I have been using a Legacy Series 5200 for about ten years and felt ready for an upgrade. I did a lot of research and decided on the A2500 over the A3500 because I felt as a long time user I would be more comfortable with the manual controls. I love the A2500. It is noticeably quieter than the 5200 and I think it blends a bit better overall. I did buy the additional 48oz container and I haven’t even used the larger container that comes standard yet. I’m glad that I did because I think the larger container would be way too big. I too wish that Vitamix would offer a choice of containers as the 48oz I think would be a better choice for most people. I love the preprogrammed options. I use smoothie everyday when I make my morning smoothies and it always comes out perfect without me having to do anything. I also use the smoothie program to clean it when I’m done. So far I have made smoothies and nut milks in it and am super impressed. I would definitely recommend it to someone looking to upgrade but who still wishes to have manual control.
Nice but sensitive
I have two Vitamixes - the 5200 and this one and I actually like the tactile feel of the 5200 better - this one sometimes won't register the container and feels a bit delicate. I love that I can always depend on the 5200 - still use the A2500 but never if I'm in a hurry because I know I may or may not have to struggle with it - ESPECIALLY if I am using the small containers. I did notice that is if I used if regularly for several days in a row, I can usually make it work nearly every time - it's a great, powerful machine ... I just prefer the lower tech for being less fussy if I'm in a hurry - and it can still use the self-detect containers. I use the aerator a lot of fresh lemonade and fresh mayo.
