It's been about a month and works wonderfully. I was skeptical before receiving this model, but not anymore! I read some reviews this is too big for one, and yes, this is a big jar so you might look into the different models to make one serving. Or you can buy a smaller jar. I hope Vitamix gives us the choice of which jar will buy. This is perfect for me and my husband, we make a larger batch of smoothies to replace our dinner. So I would totally recommend this model for a couple. And love their customer service. My first one had some issues and when I called them they helped me with the issue right away. The email was not successful, but the phone call worked beautifully. I had pro 750 and switched to this to use other size cups and different attachments. I've not tried those attachments yet, hope they work well. Some reviews mentioned the switch, but honestly, they are pretty good. When you hold it down, you feel the click. I didn't have to hold it longer to make it work as someone says. If you understand how the switch work, you'll get used to it and I don't have a problem with it. The lid is a little tricky. You need to close a little precisely, otherwise, it won't close it. I hope Vitamix can update this design. The noise is about the same as pro 750. I didn't measure exactly, but this is Vitamix so I expected big noise. Wow, I love this blender! Everything is built with such quality. The motor is very strong, the container has some elasticity to it so it will handle a drop without breaking. Yes, I accidentally dropped it when I was taking it out of the box on our hard travertine floors and it didn't break. I was originally looking for a food processor and when I found out that this blender worked with the new food processor being offered, I was sold. I bought the blender and the food processor attachment. Both work great and are made with a sturdy quality. I wish there were more blade options for the food processor. I also wish it could be a little quieter. It is a bit loud with everyone being home for online school and work due to Covid. I made tomato soup that heated up very nicely in the blender. Everything blends down to a perfect puree. This blender is everything I hoped it could be. I look forward to getting the blending cups that I ordered. I tried blending a small quatity (less than a cup) of ginger and green onions for a sauce and it didn't work very well. When I added more ingredients to make over a cup it worked great. So, hopefully the smaller bowls will work better for smaller quantity recipes.

I came from a Pro 500 Vitamix and I upgraded to this new Ascent series. It is worth the upgrade and worth the investment. As soon as you open the box you will notice the high quality standard that Vitamix put into this product. I like everything with this blender. At first I thought that the rubber lid will be better, but once you see and hold the new lid, it is very well constructed and the clips on the side is very strong. I like the new container as I noticed that it blends better, less need for the tamper because it is wide and having the huge 4" blade is a plus. It seems that the gears on the container that goes into the drive socket is longer than the old one, which to me it will last longer. The self detect feature is great as well for safety, as you can only run the blender when you place the container on top of the blender base. The blender base is heavy which make it more stable when blending. It is definitely much quieter than the Pro 500 that I had. The rubber pad on the top feels good to the touch which I think helps to reduce the noise. The toggle switch for pulse and start/stop have a great rugged feel to it. The digital timer is one of the great feature of this blender as it shows you for how long you are blending already and when you are using the pre-sets it will show you as to how long it will blend. Overall, this is a great blender. If you want the manual controls, pre-sets, digital timer, the new container and the 10 YEAR WARRANTY!!!. Then, this blender is for you. You can never go wrong with this. I can't wait until the new single single cup container becomes available.

I am beyond disappointed. Purchase the bundle during the Black Friday sales. The blending cup doesn't work consistently. I had to remove all the items from the blending cup and put them in the 64 oz container. There's no manual option when the self-detect isn't functional. I haven't had a problem with the larger container but it defeats the purpose of this product. The only positive is the ease of the return process.

After years of using a ho-hum blender that constantly struggled, we our in love with our new Vitamix A2500! Not only is it a workhorse countertop appliance, but it also looks great, so I'm happy to give it a permanent home on our kitchen counter. The controls are easy to use, and it does a great job blending everything from salad dressings to soups to pancake batter. We haven't had a single problem with it; it has handled every job we've given it beautifully. We use it a lot for smoothies, so the pre-programmed smoothie setting is particularly helpful. Overall, we couldn't be happier with our A2500. I was sent this product for free in exchange for an honest review. The above opinions are my own.

First time Vitamix buyer/user. Been using it for a month and so far so good. Powerful motor makes quick work of raw ingredients. So much in fact I thought it might fly off the base at full speed (it doesn't). Consequently it's pretty loud, which is to be expected. Really the only con for me is the size of the container. 64oz is a lot of volume for fill and I regularly blend smoothies in the 20 oz range. A pureeing sub 8oz batches of things isn't really feasible. Thus you need to buy additional accessories to cover your bases. Overall though, happy with the purchase.

I kept seeing people in the blogs/newsletters I follow using a Vitamix and it just seemedto work so well. It took over a year, but after signing up for the Lifeisnoyoke email series, I was convinced to take the plunge. I have used this appliance at least once every day since it arrived. Love that I can have fresh, hot soup and queso in five (5) minutes from a blender. I am also able to hide greens in smoothies and whole food juices without a trace. It is very powerful and LOUD, my husband describes it as 'a blender with a small block V8 engine.' :)

After a lot of research (and considering cheaper blenders), I bought my A2500 about 18 months ago and couldn't be happier. The blending performance is amazing and the metal gears are built to last. I make smoothies and juices at least 3 - 5 times a week. Also have made soups and ice desserts with great success. This has been me and my wife's favourite appliance purchase in a long while. It is quite noisy when running at full power but there is a lot of performance under the hood and for most applications, it only runs for around a minute. I must admit that I don't really use the presets so would have probably bought the A2300 if I had my time again. I prefer the manual feel of lever controls over the touch controls. Bottom line, I'd buy again in a heartbeat and wish I had done so years ago.

I bought my Vitamix machine on 11/30 received on 12/1 and used it yesterday 12/3 for the first time and it's absolutely amazing. The power this machine has is worth every single penny. I used it to make sea moss gel and I couldn't believe it. With my Ninja, I needed to blend for so long and would still find chunks with my Vitamix a minute and a half and done.

First time splurging on a high-end blender and after using it for the first time, it became clear why Vitamix has the reputation it does. Smoothie was creamy and delicious, and I loved being able to use the preset smoothie switch on the A2500 model so that it automatically shuts itself off when it's done. Highly recommend!
