We were tired of the Keurig machine breaking every two years so we looked for a different brand. Very happy with the Cuisinart. Two separate water tanks and two separate pumps is a huge benefit as the single pump in Keurig was a common problem. Also the two tanks means less refilling. In the Keurig, if you make a pot you have to add water to complete it. Also, with this machine there is no cup selector or sensor to break which is another known issue with the Keurig. Whatever water you put in, brews through. Lastly, the pot warmer has three temp options and stays hot longer. Love this. Oh and the best of all, the carafe doesn’t leak when you pour coffee. ALL the Keurig carafes leak!

This machine is what I have been looking, just by looking at it it makes me feel better( great looking design,the color the style,) the single pod dispenser it’s a plus if you are in a rush! The pre-Programmable function makes this machine so convenient! It needs two water filters, one for each function!! The price it’s right ! I would buy it again Price its right!! I’m hoping will last me at least pass 3 years.

So far, very satisfied with this coffee maker. Of course, time will how long it will last, but we had the previous k-cup/12 cup Cuisinart and it’s still works great. We wanted this new design, so we bought it and put the previous one aside as a spare.

Machine is nice-originally wouldn’t turn on. Had to watch a YouTube video showing some secret button that needs to be pressed to activate the machine which did work. controls are a little difficult to understand instruction manual a little vague machine works nice otherwise

Overall very pleased with the product. This is my second combo pod and ground coffee maker from Cuisinart. Setup and use is easy. Only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was we had a couple pods back up and make a mess. I cleaned both needles (they pierce the pod when brewing)with a paper clip as instructed, and the issue stopped. Set it to automatically make a pot of coffee each morning at 520am, works great.

Love the option of making a single cup if I am rushing out the door or if I need an afternoon pick me up! Otherwise, making a pot of coffee for when I have company or when my husband and I have a lazy morning and have time for more than one cup is so convenient! It is also nice.to be able to brew different flavors, tea, or caffeinated/ decaffeinated coffee if someone wants something different. LOVE my coffee maker!

I returned this product after only two days. On both occasions that I used it, coffee overflowed the basket holding the grounds, despite the fact that I only used coarse grounds and was brewing less than a full pot of coffee (10 cups, not the full capacity of 12). I was very surprised because I have had and loved a Cuisinart drip coffee maker for the past 12 years which finally died. I decided to decipher why this model was such a problem and found two reasons, both involving the brew basket. First, the new model has a smaller basket. It’s shaped exactly the same but is noticeably smaller. Second, and more importantly, the flow rate of liquid from the basket to the carafe was much, much slower than that of the old model. I didn’t calculate the exact difference, but in a manual, side-by-side test liquid went through the old model at a rate at least 25% faster than the new one. No wonder that coffee overflowed the basket during the brewing process. There was nothing broken on the new basket (the spring mechanism worked just fine); it was just poorly engineered.

I wish this SS16 was and improvement over the SS15, but it is not! The previous model was better overall then the new replacement. One of the big disappointments is is when using the programed auto , you can not use the bold as you could on the previous model. Overall it is more difficult to use. We have two SS15 and both have failed, one will not brew coffee in the carafe and the other will not brew using the K-cup feature! We tried!

Great coffee maker to replace the previous model in the same style. The old model had been reliable for 8 yrs and was still working. Although there's not a significant difference in size the new brewer looks more compact & has a nicer overall esthetic. Makes great coffee. The old model was donated.

Pod side didn't work on original coffee maker, but does on replacement unit. Replacement process was slower than I would have liked, especially since I bought the unit to brew coffee for wedding guests at my house. Have only run rinse cycle on the pod side so far, but at least it's promising. Pump is a little noisy when it first starts, and when it finishes (both sides), but we can live with it. Otherwise, very beautiful unit that has received several comments already.
