We usually love the Member’s Mark brand, but this item is not very good. Unfortunately, they stopped carrying this size of the Kraft brand, only offering it in the 4.5 lb size. We’ll get Kraft at our grocery store.

After purchasing Kraft Grated Parmesan Cheese for decades at Sam’s Club, that well established product has been dropped and Sam’s has substituted their Members Mark Grated Parmesan. The contents of the Members Mark bottle does not taste at all like parmesan cheese, nor does it smell like parmesan. It does not taste like any cheese that my wife or I have eaten in our long lifetimes. The “cheese” has an extremely unpleasant taste and smell. It has a foul chemical odor that does not smell like any food that we have ever smelled or consumed. It is an awful product comprised of a substance that I cannot even identify by taste or smell. The Members Mark Grated Parmesan Cheese is terrible and absolutely inedible. It is not suitable for sale in Sam’s Club or any other establishment.

This cheese is extra salty and does not taste nearly as good as Kraft. Normally Member's Mark brand is very close to or just like the name brand items, but this one missed the mark by a wide margin. Sam's Club, please bring back the Kraft Parmesan cheese that your store carried for years.

Years ago I made the mistake of buying a generic parmesan sprinkle cheese. It was horrible. At that point I swore to never buy anything but Kraft. I'm so glad I bought the Member's Mark version. It has great flavor for what it is. It doesn't have the consistency (or flavor) of cardboard. It's great to add to popcorn or pasta or anything else you'd traditionally add parmesan to.

I have been a nothing but Kraft grated parm user for many, many years. We recently had a significant change in income so I decided to give this product a try. The flavor is similar and not nearly as bad as I thought it would be. Assumptions before trying the product are not a good idea. The texture is a little different, granules are larger, but it’s not an issue. We have used this on spaghetti and I used it in my meatloaf recipe, both were very good. The rest of my family barely even noticed. I might be wrong about this, but I’m thinking the salt content is different. Maybe not as salty as the competitor. Something makes this taste different than Kraft, but I can’t put my finger on it. I think moving forward I’m sold on ditching Kraft and not only for the savings.

This is a must buy if you cook with Parmesan on a regular basis.

This appears to be as good or better than name brand.

Taste is good and it is value-priced.
