[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this in July and assembled it myself with my son over several weekends. we did have a few few issues like the concrete anchor, bolts snapped they appear to be made out of aluminum and should be made out of steel. Some of the pilot holes for the purlins did not lineup so we created our own pilot holes. But overall it’s wonderful. I enjoy sitting out in the evenings with shade and coffee on the weekend mornings.

We bought this earlier this year after pricing out the materials to build one. This one was less expensive and arrived with perfectly cut pieces that were easy to assemble. It's exactly as it appears in the ads and we've received numerous comments about how attractive it is.

Altogether a good product. We put it up Christmas Day and Boxing Day, with some help from my brother who was visiting. There were some boards that were a bit warped but it wasn't enough to keep it from going together. We did need to re-drill a few holes that didn't line up properly, but we had tools so it wasn't a problem. AND they included extra hardware of every kind, which we didn't actually need with this kit but have with others (which can be a real nuisance). The least satisfactory issue was the freight company, Estes Freight. It sat in the Phoenix warehouse for a week before they got it out to us, and no-one there would answer the phone or return our calls.

I bought this pergola at the end of last year and installed it myself. The delivery was smooth and building the pergola was not too difficult. There were a few times I needed another person to help, but it went quickly. We chose to wrap the tops with vines to add a little more shade and greenery to the yard. It has been our favorite place to hang out around a fire pit during the winter and now hang out in the evening during the warmer months.

I bought the pergola/arbor a month ago. Directions were very clear! All boards, bolts, screws, nuts and washer were labeled. Other than sealing the boards, the actual construction was completed in ONE DAY. We are one young man and one 70 yr old short woman. If we can do it, anyone can handle it. It looks fantastic. The grapes have been planted by each post. We just need to string some led lights. ,

I purchased and installed Beaumont Cedar Pergola on my backyard deck. The pergola has added a whole new dimension to the deck and its usefulness. The cedar wood was high quality and smells great. The instructions were straight forward and pergola pieces marked which really helped during installation. Thanks for putting together a great product and a price that's very affordable. I bought this a little over a month ago and built it myself, putting in a few hours each day over the course of a week. It was so easy to do myself and I only needed help from my husband and freind with the final raising and connection of the 4 sides. I truly appreciated how easy the instructions were to follow and the instruction app made it even easier. I have built a lot of things using assembly instructions and these were by far the best instructions I've experienced. The quality of the materials was impressive as well. The boards were straight and finished, and the cuts were clean. The grooves and the drill holes all lined up. The final pergola is beautiful. I get tons of compliments from friends now. I highly recommend this pergola for both it's beauty and how easy it was to build.

We have a 2 1/2 acre property and adding pergolas to key areas has created places to enjoy the different parts of the property in shade. Pergolas also beautify and have an elegance to them and protect outdoor furniture…all the reasons we purchased 3. The Backyard Discovery products are well made/beautiful with good instructions and good customer service. We purchased a 20x12 and financed it and it made it so easy to buy a larger priced item. Highly recommend the company and products. The items are just as pictured.

We have been looking for a pergola big enough for a large sitting area and dining table and finally found this one. I love that it is wind tested too as our backyard can get wind gusts and I know this pergola is quality and will withstand the elements.

Pros: Great wood, durable hardware, good design. Very solid. Extra hardware. Cons: Plastic caps on top of four set posts leave 1/8" gap so that brace boards are unable to have bolds and nuts be threaded through - too much space. We tried cutting some of the edges and ultimately discarded the caps. Instructions not detailed enough to explain that two of four brace boards have a row of holes along their top (for the lattice) and need to be placed on outside of the two that lack holes. Probably should have had an extra page in the instructions for this or give the boards with holes a separate number. Neutral: Plastic base plates too flimsy for Florida hurricanes. We used steal base plates that worked well. Interior of set post are not solid cedar, but ripped pine 2x4s. However, cedar overlay done very well - looks like solid cedar. Wish the brace boards were 14' long w/o extensions, but shorter boards with extensions seems to work. Really need three people for this construction, not two.
