We love our pergola! It's solidly built and a beautiful addition to our space. We do wish we'd realized that it needed to be sealed, but that's on us.

Building this was an amazing experience! I cannot thank them enough for the detail in the kit. The instructions were fantastic and ALL the holes lined up which is unheard of! I highly recommend them.

This is an absolutely beautiful structure, good solid build, and fairly easy to put together. My wife and I would have had it done in an afternoon if not for rain. I would recommend 3 people putting it together we did it with two but some of the structure was a bit heavy for my wife to hold in place while i was driving screws.

Love this! I knew when I opened the boxes that this company knew what they were doing. All the parts were there, everything fit, all the holes lined up (almost) and I did the whole thing myself with just three hours help from a friend when it came time to erect it. The ONLY thing I noticed that seemed out of whack were that the holes in the purlins did not match up to the pilot holes in the cross pieces. Not a biggy as the screws went in fine where I needed them to. Just...how the heck did they screw up the hole placement so badly? Otherwise, a great product that I would recommend to anyone.

I was impressed with the thoroughness that Backyard Discovery puts in their products. Written instructions and an app, some tools, and extra hardware. We stained the wood before assembly and carefully followed the instructions. It did take three to erect the posts, but the final construction was by myself. I highly recommend Backyard Discovery.

We love, love, love our new Pergola. We are Retired Seniors and took our time for assembly, it is very hot in Texas this time of year ;-) We decided to add an additional coat of Cedar stain prior to assembly and honestly it didn't take much stain as it was nicely finished when received so we could have forgone that step, it was not necessary. Assembly went very well, if something doesn't line up just loosen the hardware and retry, everything should go together well and did. The hardware was very good quality as was the Cedar wood, first class all the way. We recommend you watch several YouTube videos even if it is not your exact model for tips others have found along the build, it helps. We are recommending this as a nice project to do together and have the satisfaction of saying WE built this ;-) Get yours now before the tariffs ;-( Very happy in Texas with our new Pergola.

We bought our 12x16 pergola after purchasing another hrand, upon receiving the other brand it seemed “cheap” made of 1x6’s instead of 2x6’s. We returned the other and purchased our “Beaumont” and couldnt be happier, its sturdy, handsome, and easy to look at. We had a retirement party for a friend recently and everyone was complimentary and impressed at its design and beauty!

I bought this approximately 2 months ago. I live in Bath PA. Our patio gets sun from early morning to evening. The pergola does its job. This was thousands cheaper then other places. All of my neighbors love it. I took my time and stained it with 2 coats before I put it together. Once all the parts were together, my brother in law and neighbor help me put up the large stuff. We were finished within 3 hours. FOLLOW the instructions and its easy. Can't say enough about how well engineered this is. I wish this place sold a water proof cover for it.

We bought this a couple months ago and finally had good enough weather to build it. I loved the cedar smell that filled our garage! It came in 4 boxes. We stained all the pieces before assembly in our 2 1/2 car garage. We were able to lay all the pieces out on saw horses and the staining process took 3 days to get all pieces stained. The instructions were easy to follow and it took my husband and I two days to assemble without any help. They recommend 3-4 people to help and that's a great idea but if you can't get the help 2 can put it up. You just have to be able to work together!! We weren't sure if we were going to put the small top pieces on but we're glad we did and we love it. Good quality. We were very impresed with the whole process. From ordering to sitting under our new pergola... we love it! I would definitely recommend this product and company. We have no complaints at all.

Have had it for about a month. Put it up in two days; assembled the sides and cross members myself then had help, four of us, stand the sides up in place then fasten the crossmembers with one bolt to keep in place. The next day I permanently fastened the crossmembers, then put the joists and purlins up. Everything fit together very well, accurate holes drilled. Extra fasteners provided are always appreciated as it is easy to drop and lose something. Added fan and propane heater to complete. Very pleased with our purchase.
