[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have used it 3 times so far, normal cycle, energy saver option. The cycle runs for 2 hrs 50 min and I just set it and forget it (usually overnight but without ennabling night dry). It does its job (didn't remove some burned-on food from one pot, but that's to be expected on a normal cycle) and when I empty it in the morning the dishes are dry, contrary to the complaints of a few owners. It is extremely quiet.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Purchased and installed in September 2021. Very impressed at how quiet it runs, and how easy it is to use. Several cycles, instructions very easy to understand as well. Dishes have been very clean, no noted residue after washings either. LOVE the top 3rd rack for items that will fit there. We purchased this to replace one that quit working, and needed white, so considered it since it was in-stock.

Have been using this for a little over a month now. I am very impressed with how well it cleans dishes, and the inside of the unit also has been keeping clean without needing maintenance. Buttons on the front are a little easy to bump and turn the unit on/off. So if doing again I may opt for top buttons.

This is by far the quietist dishwasher we've owned and our first LG dishwasher. I like the extra top rack for utensils and the slotted silverware tray, plus the fact you can lower the middle rack or remove it. The stainless interior is easy to wipe down and doesn't show water spots. I do have issues reading the control panel, as the white letters blend with the gray background when I have my kichen lights on. I usually only use one cycle, so it's just a matter of filling the soap dispenser and pressing start.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I installed this new LG LDFN4542S Dishwasher and Love it. The inside is all Stainless Steel and high quality. The installation was great and the unique rear height adjuster is great, one adjuster in the center front area adjusts the rear to be level without trying to reach around or under the unit to level it. Very Happy with this dishwasher and would recommend it to others. Some things you will continue to appreciate every day you use it and this is one.

I don’t know what happened, maybe they gave me an already returned machine, but literally nothing worked right. The buttons were too difficult to push. No matter which cycle I tried, the machine kept just turning itself off after running only a couple minutes, the soap dispenser didn’t dispense the soap, and it wouldn’t drain. Then within a couple weeks, it wouldn’t even turn on- it just died. The couple times it did work, the dishes came out sparkling; but, mostly, it just didn’t work. I had to return it and I purchased another brand. Maybe I just bought a lemon? I have an LG washer/dryer set, and those work great. I cannot, however, recommend their dishwasher because of the above. I did like the 3rd drawer feature really well- so, I made sure my new one had that feature also.

It also does not use a heating element to dry dishes sop I can put tupperware on the bottom rack with no problem but the technology they use to dry dishes work and my dishes come out dry with their night dry option. The Print Proof Stainless is the way to go.

I’ve been using my new dishwasher for about 2 months. Following every normal cycle there’s heavy condensation on the door. I read others posts that indicate this is a common problem. The only solution is to run the Extra Dry cycle each time. So, additional expense on my electricity bill. It does work however. Two of the fold down dividers keep falling on their own, causing my plates to come crashing down against one another and of course not getting clean. Lastly, I hate the front control panel. It’s extremely sensitive so when I’m working at my sink, the slightest touch engages the power button and tries to start a cycle. Wish I’d bought a dishwasher with top control panel!!

Right off the bat we had a problem with the 3rd rack not sliding in and out smoothly. Had to deal with online repair request and finally able to get a repairman to fix the problem. Sprayer apparatus on top of machine had fallen down slightly and was blocking the ability of the rack to slide in and out smoothly. Now we've noticed that there is a "motor " or something still running in the door hours after a wash cycle has run. Need to call LG again and find out what this issue is.
