We really like the fact that the second or upper rack is adjustable. It can be adjusted to accommodate larger pieces that need to be laid down to wash. The third tray for silverware is great. It does not scratch the silverware like in a basket where they would bang against each other.

We love the room that this dishwasher provides. The third drawer is a must for anyone thinking of purchasing a dishwasher. But more importantly to choose the reliability of LG. We've used this brand for years and never had a problem. Our new home only has LG appliances!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this about a month ago after researching many brands. I absolutely love this dishwasher. It's the quietest dishwasher I've ever owned. You can't hear it running. The dishes come out sparkling clean and dry. Using a jet dry product works. I like the third rack. I also love the half wash. The controls are simple and easy to use. I bought the black color and it's beautiful. I would recommend this dishwasher. It's definitely worth every penny. It was easy to install.

This is a second review after having this dishwasher about 6 weeks. I bought this dishwasher in mid July. It does the job, but in retrospect I should have bought a different model, This model has the settings on the front rather that at the top and I have accidently started the dishwasher several times by bumping up against it while cleaning the kitchen, The cleaning of the dishes is okay, but nothing special and cleaning time is rather long. I do have the say the extra dry setting does work very well and I am pleased with that function, All in all it is a good product, however in my opinion it is nothing special.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It's amazing how quiet it runs. It looks as good as it works. We use it 5 times more than are previous model. My wife loves the top tray for big utensils (very caddy), and the lower rack can adjust for bigger dishes, bowls, etc. it's very versatile. Always looks clean and easy to wipe down.

We purchased the LDFN4542W a little over a month ago, and we could not be more pleased! Like most people, we wanted the best product, for the least cost, and we got it. Our research criteria was: product quality, price, performance, quiet and white front. LG nailed all five. Performance is stellar and is much quieter than we expected. There are others with more bells and whistles, that cost more, but if you want to wash dishes, the LDFN4542W is your machine!

I brought my dishes into many stores to find a DW that fits tall things on the bottom rack, and this one seemed to have the most clearance, as well as a 3rd rack that doesn't fit much but silverware. I've only run it twice, but things seemed to come out very clean---even pans with some baked on grease. Only downside is that the bottom rack doesn't have enough tines to hold small casseroles that can tip over.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Put this and a new LG refrigerator in about a month ago. My old dishwasher was so loud I could barely hear the television nearby. It also didn’t clean very well. This dishwasher is amazing in how well it cleans….and I’m just using the Auto setting so far. It is so quiet, I sometimes go check to make sure I actually turned it on. The controls are super sensitive, which is great, but has an occasional downside. I sometimes turn the power on if I just bump up against it while putting away dishes or making coffee, but I just turn it off…or it will turn itself off after a period of time. Love being able to move the top rack up and down easily, and the extra top rack is handing for tongs and other kitchen utensils. My only complaint (and the reason I said almost perfect) is that I can’t find a place in the dishwasher where the wine glasses will stand up and not fall over.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've had my dishwasher for about a month it's very quiet cleans the dishes really well. My only problem is with the bottom rack. My Mikasa dishes tip sideways instead of sitting up straight. Also the bottom rack has to be pulled out very slowly and steadily it falls off the track really easily. I also wish there was something for stemware. But I do love the upper rack for the cutlery.
