Amazing dishwasher
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I cannot explain how much I love this dishwasher. The third rack and ability to adjust the second rack is a game changer for loading and washing dishes. It gets the dishes clean and dry as expected. I prefer the front side buttons and like having the times displayed. I have peaked in adulting by loving my dishwasher!
Best Dishwasher
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had this dishwasher for over a year and it's the best dishwasher I have ever owned. I thought the third rack was useless, but I was wrong. I use it all the time for delicate items and ceramic knives.
Design flaws
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The dishwasher works, and it's quiet. It's nice-looking. Those are the "pros." The cons are in the design. The Power and Start buttons are charcoal gray with black lettering and no back-lighting. Consequently, you can't read them without bending over and looking at them from 12 inches away or less. I can't imagine whose Great Idea it was to display the most important buttons on the dashboard with no contrast so they're essentially illegible. (Note that the image displays a lighter background, and that Power and Start are clearly visible in the picture. The web team created more contrast in the image to pretend that the buttons are readable in real life...) The second problem is in the racks. The upper one is okay, though it's a little short to make room for the knife tray at the very top. The knife tray is a pull-out shelf that allows you to place flat items like knives and spatulas out of the way of the dish racks. That's a very nice feature because I used to lay my knives across the dish rack, and they would frequently fall through, then the handles would melt on the elements on the floor of the appliance. This, by the way, is another pro: the dishwasher has no elements on the bottom to melt things that fall down there during washing. Then, the bottom rack is oddly designed so plates don't stand upright for long, and there are big gaps between the wires at the base of the rack that things fall through. An example would be a wine goblet. Too tall for the upper rack, and when you place it on the lower rack it falls through to the floor of the appliance because of the wide spacing between the wires on the bottom of the rack. It's almost impossible to find a way to line dishes up so they don't all tumble into each other, if you're also including pans, bowls, and other oddly shaped items. They need a 2.0 version with an improved design after testing it with various types and sizes of dishes to observe what happens during a real-life wash..

Love it
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought this dishwasher about a month ago. My wife loves it. Very very quiet. We didn’t realize it was in til I bent down and put my ear neat to it. Features are excellent and the black stainless steel looks great.
Not Great
This is the quietest dishwasher we have ever had. It is nearly unnoticeable. It also seems to do a good cleaning job. The design of the upper dishes rack, is the worst, we've had ever had. The angled dish holder arrangement is not only pointless, but arranges the dishes completely messy and unorganized. Yes, the picture as of how it can be filled looks great, however, life is not like that (perfect dishes fitting the rack). The lower rack is sort of ok, but seems to de-rail easily.

Not a good experience
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I had this dishwasher installed on November 21 and it worked exactly 17 days before breaking down. I’ve had it repaired once the repair did not even last today and I can’t seem to get anybody out here in any expeditious manner. It won’t be until January 3 before someone comes out to look at it which means this dishwasher will be at least 6 to 7 weeks old and I was only able to use it for 17 days

Garbage
Don't buy this , It won't last 2 years without expensive repairs. The rinse dispenser leaks all the rinse aid out as soon as your pour it in. You have a I think 1 year waranty mine was leaking a little and then leaks it all out right after 2 years. This is a big problem and they know it. I only use it 2 times a week. Don't bother buying any new dishwasher because they're all garbage and we stupid americans keep buying this junk. My old dishwasher lasted 28 years.

Would be near-perfect if not for the awful noise
We've had this dishwasher for 2 years now, and we've been very happy with its cleaning capability. It's very rare when an item comes out with any residue at all on it. It has great features. However, there is one huge frustration with it. Most of the reviews by other owners state how quiet it is. Well, this certainly isn't the case with our machine. Right from the time it was first installed, it's been so noisy that we've always needed to stuff a big thick slab of styrofoam under the door in front of it, in order to muffle the sound enough to avoid disturbing people in other parts of the house. It makes a very loud, very annoying, whooshing sound, as though the machine is missing some built-in type of sound insulation. It's not the motor that makes the noise, it's the sound of high-pressure water blasting against the metal interior. We called the store about it, but was told that it's normal for it to make a sound. Although the advertised specs for this model mention how quiet it is, we are reasonable enough not to expect silence. Yet we've owned several dishwashers in the past, and never experienced that type of noise with them. In fact, you could barely tell our previous model was running while in the same room with it. I really wish it didn't have this problem because, otherwise, it's a terrific dishwasher. I especially like the extra rack.
Quiet. Love the top rack feature
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Our old dishwasher was so noisy that we purposely ran it on a delay when we went to work and school. We figured we would do a load with this new dishwasher when we were home and it was so quiet that we kept checking to see if it was actually running. The top rack feature is great. The only problem is getting used to it. We have sometimes unloaded the dishwasher and forgot we had items on the top rack and they were washed again. Oh, well, we will eventually adjust. So far we love the unit.
Adjustable rack
I've had this since mid July. I love this dishwasher! I have never had an adjustable second rack and didn't know how much I would use it. This is amazing. I use the third rack for tumbler lids and such. I have never had LG brand before but I'm now a customer.
