Well Built Grill

I like fact that the grill is nice and sturdy with cast iron grates. I didn't give it a 5 because this model doesn't have a lever control to lower or raise the grates in order to control the temperature which is what I'm use to. Other than that, it's a very nice and affordable purchase.

Poor Quality, Rusted Within One Month

I am very disappointed with the quality of this grill. I purchased the Member's Mark 35" Barrel Charcoal Grill with Cover and, after only one month of ownership and just three uses, both the barrel and the charcoal holder have already started to rust. I expected a grill at this price point to withstand normal outdoor use for much longer than a few weeks. The rapid deterioration raises serious concerns about the quality of the materials and durability of the product. Because of the excessive rusting after such limited use, I will be returning the grill. I cannot recommend this product based on my experience.

Great price for this sturdy barrel grill. Arrived the same day I ordered, and the box was in great shape (and heavy). My brother had to put it together and that took about an hour %26 half or less. It looks amazing, has some weight so it's not flimsy. Rolled onto the patio with ease and has a really nice grill cover included. We're breaking it in for a Sunday BBQ. I highly recommend, especially at a price of $199!

Poor craftsmanship

the holes in the barrel were not properly bored for the legs. Had to struggle to get the legs on. Also the smoke stack wasn't fitting into the hole. Very poor craftsmanship. The only reason I have it 2 stars was because all the parts came with it.

Poor grate quality

I bought this grill about a month ago and had it delivered. When I opened the package I found 2 of the 3 grill grates broken. The material used on the grates was not good quality and would probably would have broken after a summers use. I would not recommend this product unless they improve on the material used to make the grates. The rest of the grill appeared solid but had many pieces to put together, I was able to return it to my local store with no issues

Excellent grill!

I got this 4 years ago it's been a great grill. It's direct heat, hard to keep the temp down but that's fine, I have a pellet grill for slow cooking, It's a good, reliable grill, plenty of room and the front and side shelves are nice. A note on assembly: the bad reviews are mostly related to parts or holes not aligning, etc, This is one of those assemblies where you have to use a little intuition, you may have to redo a step or two to get it right, I'm now going to lie, not the easiest assembly, but it worked, When you finish it, it may wobble a bit, I just put a tile under a leg to level it up a bit, A screw in leveler would be handy, but no big deal. over time the porcelain coated started coming off the cast iron grill surface grates, I replaced them, and the charcoal tray rusted out after about 3 years. Still a great grill well worth the price!

signs of wear for just 1 year and 10 uses

It shows a lot of wear and tear for being only a year old and used only about 10 times. It's been kept under my shed with a rain and dust cover the whole time. The reason it's wearing out is the very thin sheet metal; it's really not worth almost $199. tax , I regret not choosing something more durable. (Keep in mind that I always clean out the ashes after every use)

Not good

I have had this grill for two seasons. I usually do not review items but I felt I should on this item. The charcoal is too close to the grates and you cannot control the heat well. Has a tendency to burn what you are cooking. The handle is positioned to where you burn your arm opening and closing it. The grates rusted quickly. If you do not leave the grates on when it is heating, then the grates do not expand with the grill and fall in when you place them. I usually buy members mark items without much review because historically they are usually good products. I regret buying this grill.

Best grill on the market. Big open cooking area. Steel heavy duty grates! Set up takes a little concentration. Also removed secondary chrome rack, just got in the way. Easy to clean, no nonsense. Charcoal tray is taking a beating, but we leave bbq outside. A little rust outside on top, to be expected. Will use black bbq spray paint to cover, very easy. We always use a charcoal chimney with lump charcoal, lighting isperfect every time.
