It is long lasting and controls odor very well. I have had no irratation which is amazing since I have been experiencing that with other deodorants.

These are not anti-transpiration, hence the fact that these are aluminum-free, but an under t-shirt solves the issue. At least you're safer from cancer by not having the toxic aluminum in you. The scent is very mild, and once you apply it, within 30 minutes is gone.

That being said, they both smell nice and don't irritate my pits as they are not anti perspirant and that stuff will eventually get my pits itchy and irritated. I was using the Dove for men stuff prior to this (again, non anti-perspirant). I will say that the Dove lasts longer. This Old Spice one is not in effect by dinner time and I can smell BO on me, where the Dove had me covered until the next day and even then I smelled better the next morning than I do at bedtime with this stuff. So...the lasting odor protection isn't as good as Dove. But is does work and smells nice.
