Lightweight and easy to use.

Bought this last year and finally got to try it out. Absolutely made the job on my driveway so much easier! Lightweight enough to move around back to my start line. Handled 2-3 inches of powdery snow without issue. My only complaint is that I wish it threw the snow more "out" than "up". Well worth the money. Saved me so much effort over shoveling and tossing heavy shovels of snow.

Westinghouse Corded 11 Inch Snow Shovel

I bought this to clear steps and walkways. It works very well in doing this for snow fall depths up to about 6 inches, and maybe more depending on the type of the snow fall, for example dry powder allowing more throw vs wet heavy snow. I also wanted this to get between cars that are parked parallel on my driveway where my big 28inch blower wouldn't fit or risk scratching up my car doors and panels. Again, this works great for the smaller snow falls, but for the 2 to 3 foot accumulations, it would get awkward to shave down the snow given the angle you would have to hold the shovel to throw the snow away from you without it blowing back into your face. Probably there is some technique to doing that, but not eactly what it was made for. I do like the unit and the throw is about 20 feet for the dry powdery snow. I haven't used it on a heavier, wet snowfall yet. I opted for the corded unit because I didn't want to be tied to the limitation of waiting for a battery to recharge and having available power. You just need to manage the cord, but it's not a major issue for using on the steps and walkways. Since the unit doesn't have the adjustable vanes to direct the snow throw, I use the technique of attacking the snow at an angle so I'm directing it to the side rather than directly in front of me, just to have to then shovel again what I just threw there a minute ago. The unit is good quality, fells sturdy and the motor is not underpowered. It's easy to setup and operate. I'm liking it and while not looking forward to the next snowfall, I'm prepared!

Plenty of power to tackle heavy snow.

Corded snow shovel has plenty of power for heavy snow. Much more than I see on other battery powered models. Best for new snow. I'll only use it a few times a year, so the slight inconvenience of a cord is not a problem. It is pretty heavy and all the weight is forward, so picking it up to knock down a snow drift is bit of a work out. It did jam up on one heavy spot and the belt squealed and slipped for a moment before I turned it off. I cleared it and it worked fine after. I'll probably get a spare belt just in case.

Used two weekends in a row

Purchased the WSnow20 corded snow blower in December. I have used it quite a bit the last two weekends in southwest Virginia. So far, so good. It works great in dry powdery snow. The lower (plastic) scraper is showing noticeable wear after use on concrete driveway.

Small but good

So far good, used it this past snow blizzard. Good for less than 7 -8 inches of snow fall, the chute deflector that directs the snow away isn't the best but for this price point, this was definitely better than manually shoveling everything. Haven't had any issues so far

Works, but heavy.

Works great to blow right in front of you, but only right in front of you. Its too heavy and bulky to maneuver to blow to the sides and off the sidewalk instead of directly in front of you. Seems sturdy and blows snow well and far enough to get the job done.

Expecting Great Help for driveway snow removal

At 73 years old my adult children decided my snow shoveling days were over. We just had 4 inches and after shoveling, I needed alieve relief. Anxious to use the snow blower. Storm Fern is arriving tomorrow and we are expecting 8+ inches of snow. I am ready!

Great Product at a Great Price.

I purchased the corded WSnow11SD snow shovel after researching some battery powered ones. The corded model seemed to be an advantage for me as it is lighter and never needs batteries to be charged. I am retired and live in a condo community that requires homeowners to clear the first 2" of snow. The snow shovel works well to clear across the driveway and throw it about 20 feet. Without a directional shoot, it requires some practice to find a routine that allows you to only throw the snow in one direction ahead of you. It works best for less than 6" of snow as advertised. I did add one layer of electrical tape to the handle before attachment as there was some wobbling of the handle as other reviews noted. I also used the assist handle to wind and store the cord.

Little snowblower that could

Waited a few months after receiving the snow blower to give it a review. I live in Western New York and this snow blower has handled everything I could throw at it other than a chunk of ice bigger than the opening. It's handled snow twice the height of the opening. Audibly bogged down on 4 inches of slush but powered through. And more recently pushed back the nearing waist high slush pile at the end of the driveway. Managing an extension cord is a little annoying but I found it easy enough if you treat the snow blower like a corded vacuum.
