Great product!
Powerful!
I'm very happy with this purchase. It seems to be of very good quality with a ton of suction. You even have to turn down the suction depending on the carpet just to be able to pull it back. Very easy to dump the dirt right into the trash can. Lots of attachments and extra tools too. Very good!
THE BEST VACUUM I'VE EVER OWNED!
If Shark had been here to take a video of me vacuuming about 1500 sq ft of what appeared to be relatively clean flooring right after I got this vacuum out of the box & assembled it (and posted that video on TV/Internet), they would've likely sold a million of them quick as a wink! While I have a younger brother model of this Shark, this is the "John Boy" of the family that will take care of any hidden dirt under the roof with ease! I've had a central vac system for years, but 2 long haired "Velcro" dogs have forced me to seek better alternatives. This is the one if you're allergic to pet dander, but can't bear to make the fur bearers stay outside 24/7! I had flashbacks of my Kirby years ago, because it's not a lightweight to push around, but it is SO worth the extra effort involved! The wand extensions onboard are quick & easy to access & are just as superb to grab whatever is in its path. It's all but mesmerizing to watch the cyclone of debris flying into the canister while vacuuming, lol! So increase the muscle mass in your upper arms a little bit, while saying "Adios & Ta Ta!" to unwanted pet hair & dirt in your home via this ultimate cleaning mow-chine! 5 yr warranty is a plus, too. FYI- No headlights on this made for Sam's Club model, but you'll have no trouble seeing what a mess you'll gladly dump out of the large canister with ease after you vacuum! Strap a small flashlight to the handle if headlights are a tie-breaker....!
Great Vacuum
I bought this vacuum to replace some aging ones at church, and I absolutely love it. It was a breeze to put together. It has a long cord that allows me to go a bit further in rooms than with other brands, and it does a fantastic job of cleaning carpets. I haven't used it much on the tile, but it has worked well in limited service in that capacity. I use a Dyson at home, and I think this is what I'll replace it with when/if it tears up.
Its a fair vaccume
I bought this 3 days ago. My busy schedule has only just now allowed me to vaccume my appartment and after doing so, I felt I needed to give a review (because, honestly, a bunch of people suck at reviewing) Ok, 3 stars. Why? First, Unpacking it: (model NV90) The photo on the box is seriously misleading. Behind the vaccume cleaner you will find a long hose that will clumsily dangle from a hook(the air suction travels through this entire heap of tubing with all its turns until it gets to the collection chamber). Immediatly, Im not liking what I'm seeing because you will find that the way the brushrole section is designed renders it having a serious clogging probability flaw. There are no headlights (not a big thing, but, personally I find headlights asthetically pleasing) you do however have a green light that is on (on the brushrol section) letting you know all is well (will turn red when something is wrong). Putting the handle on with the long bolt and the small nut was actually a pain in the butt, would not screw into the bolt, took several tries and realignments (should have been a seriously simple task) Cleaning Ability: (Model NV90) First thing that surprized me was its quietness (very quiet compared to our Eureka Airspeed) would be great for small appartment or office. We have 2 cats (very furry ones) and they shed ALOT. Going over the livingroom at a normal speed, on an average carpet hight (not deep shag, and not very low cut either) it appeared to suck everything up very well! However I did have to stop 3 times in a relitivaly small livingroom (apartment) to clean the brushrole (It collected alot of carpet fibers and long femal human hair (close to the bathroom)on the brushes) did not like that (vaccume was in constant motion, shouldnt have been an issue, I would think). I just spent $136 on an item, I'm going to seriously check it out, right? Well, I got down on my hands and knees to get a very close up view of the carpet, low and behold there was still cat hair. LOTS of it. havent vaccumed in a week and a half up to this point (seriously busy schedule). After going over it once more, albeit VERY slowly and from multiple directions, it picked all of it up). The tools were easy to use, took longer than wished for while cleaning the stairs and knocked the vaccume over SEVERAL times. Going to the kichen (bare wood flooring) it worked flawlessly. There are two settings, ine for bare floor, ine fir carpet. There are no adjustments that can be made to the brushrole (could be problematic for some people). Don't expect to pick up large things (manual even alerts user not to). The air it expells is (judging by the light I had) very clean. A few favorites was the fact that the filters are WASHABLE and the shark (in particular the model NV90 (which is the shark rotator XL professional) has a "Lifetime Belt" so, never haveing to change the belt is nice, as is the 5 year warranty. As for manuverability, (for my carpet in imparticular) it was very easy (im 21, so no arthritus or muscle problems (the thing feels like about 15-20lbs) ). Would not reccomend if you have joint pain in the wrists. Final Verdict: For $136 it did its job ok (would not reccomend if you have pets, despite what the box says). Personally, I fell my old $80 Eureka Airspeed picked alot more up out of the carpet. The constant falling during tool use was suckish. Having to clean the brushrole 5 times was suckish too (I was ok up untill the 3rd time). The thing about the filters, belt, and warranty is nice. The capacity(which honestly is does not seem 3x as big as anything ive used) was ok. But due to the time it took to do its job affectively and its brushrole width, I will be taking this back and getting something different and that works better (Ill try the Dyson DC65). Overall a good vaccume though for small rooms and offices. Wish I had photos though...
We LOVE this vacuum!!!
We are hard on vacuums; 4 girls/women with long hair, 2 dogs, grandkids and have a variety of floor surfaces- carpet, tile, vinyl, and we're not the best at keeping the filters cleaned at regular intervals. We have NEVER had the loss of suction others claim they've had. We have had issues due to long hair wrapping around the rollers-hazards of long hair. This thing is awesome. We considered replacing our carpet but if we had owned this vacuum from the start, we wouldn't NEED to replace it. I'm buying one for my daughter for Christmas!
LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT
Everything I wanted and needed in a vacuum. Incredible suction, handles great, and works excellent on carpet and hard floors! Not like other vacuums that claim to be multi surface only to do nothing but blow everything behind it. The power button has 2 settings, brush off and brush on. Brush off for hard floors and of course brush on for carpets. I don't even own a broom anymore! And the super looking cord is great too. I can vacuum a whole side of my house without stopping to change plugs. Awesomely amazing!!!
professional shark XL vacuum
Got this vacuum cleaner for Christmas and I absolutely love it! My old vacuum cleaner was great until it broke down a few months ago. Started to use the new vacuum cleaner the same day I got it and I couldn't believe how much dust, dog hair, and dirt it picked up. I love the attachments, especially the pet vacuum attachment. Works great on furniture and underneath them. Very easy to use and maneuver. I highly recommended this vacuum cleaner!!!
I'd rate it at 3.75 stars. Better than Average
I am a tried and true Dyson lover ( an older ball model) that my cleaning ladies broke, so was desperate for something quick. I own the Shark Rocket for our summer home and LOVE it. So I gave this model a shot. I got it online at a Black Friday price. It came in 2 days and in great shape. Once I got it together, I vacuumed the whole main floor. I found a few things that I didn't like about it. It is top heavy when using the hose with the crevice tool and falls over every time I used the hose unless I held the handle in one hand. Akward!! Plus the cord is in a weird place and kept getting caught under the vacuum or under my feet. The roller brush was really wound up with hair, (I have long hair) and that did happen with my Dyson, but not as much or as tightly. I found it hard to cut off. I should have made sure this model had headlights, bummed to find out it doesn't. I was very, VERY happy with the amount of dirt, dust and hair that came up. All in all, for the price I can't expect to compare it to a Dyson. I'm sure the nicer models of Shark are more inline with the Dyson. It just wasn't as easy to use as my old Dyson. This is a basic model. But it works very good considering the weight balance with hose and cord placement. I'd give 3.75 stars if it would let me. It's not quite a 4, but it's a good decent vacuum that sucks well. If you aren't super fussy or Don't care about the things I didn't like about it, than this is a perfect vacuum and you'll be happy with it!
Great Vacuum for low pile carpet
This is a great vacuum for low pile carpeting. If you have a high pile rug it is very difficult to almost impossible to maneuver due to the strong suction, it's equivalent to an hour work out at the gym! There is a switch where you can adjust the suction power, however it does not lift the brush head and only makes a minor difference in suction. I'm looking for a different vacuum that has better adjustments.
