Kind of obsessed with this vacuum. I'm sure most new-out-of-the-box vacuums clean awesome, but this was great. I vacuumed with our old one (a 6-year-old Bissell) right before I used this so I could see how much I was missing. The container was full of dust and dirt after one turn over my living room floor. It fluffs up the carpet and it leaves the nice vacuum lines (which my husband loves when he vacuums:) Its lightweight, which is so great for vacuuming my stairs or carrying it up and down. The head is a little smaller than most, which I actually love. It makes navigating it easier so I don't actually feel like it takes longer to clean. I also like the narrower vacuum head because it fits under furniture and into corners better, and it works perfect on the two small carpeted landings I have on my stairs. They are large enough it would be a pain to clean them with a hose, but the smaller head makes it easy to use for that. The container is easy to empty and clean, filters are easy to wash and dry. The hose attachments work great for my stairs, ceiling corners, car seats and every nook and cranny. I'm a big fan, this has been an awesome vacuum.

This vacuum has great suction and picks up well on carpet and laminate flooring. It gets used every day in my home. I have 2 golden retrievers with shedding hair. However, the hoses have all split open at the top of the suction wand and at the base. I have them all duct taped closed. And the latch at the top of the dust cup has broken off too. I have it closed with a rubber band. And the power cord is breaking at the base. I wish I could replace these parts since the vacuum still works well.

Doesn't adjust to different carpet styles

Bought first one 5 yrs ago. Bought this one for son because mine still going strong 5 years later. Buy this vac

Love the rotary head. Second Shark I've had. Still using the first one too. Bought two, one for my daughter.

When I first used my Shark I was surprised how much dog hair and dirt I could get up. Fantastic product. I gave my Dyson away.

This vacuum is a lot heavier than previous Sharks that we have purchased. The others are much easier to push.

I've had this vacuum for a few weeks now it is an exceptional product. I would definitely recommend the shark Xl.

does all that it said it would do.can shut off the power head to do hardwood floors and to do area rugs then back on for carpets.the filter is great.

Best purchase I have made in a while. Did not realize how dirty my carpet was until I used this cleaner.
