Luxury tub for a “basic tub” price!

We are probably just like you. We looked at several Spa retail locations and found we would pay $10,000 to $14,000 to get the Spa of our dreams OR we could pay about half that at Sam’s Club or Costco. Of course the chance we took was getting a problem spa with lots of issues. We thoroughly researched both stores and found that their top of the line spas come from the same parent company. We went through their website and read all the reviews. We really liked the Everlast Indulgence Spa so on November 10th we placed the order. Our receipt said it would be delivered between November 19th and November 19th. Sam’s charged our credit card with the total amount but then withdrew the charge. On November 17th I called Sam’s Club to find out the status of the order. They told me it wouldn’t be delivered on November 19th, but the order was still valid and I should hear something soon. On November 21 I received an automated call from Strong Spas telling me the Spa had been built and was ready to ship. They explained that the trucking company would contact me to schedule the delivery time. They told me how to inspect the spa upon arrival before I accepted it. I was also given the option of cancelling the order. Two days later our credit card was charged the full amount. On November 29th I received a call from the trucking company letting me know when it would be delivered and checking with me if that would work. It was scheduled for the following Wednesday December 4th. I was given a three hour window because the truck would be coming from San Antonio through Austin to where I lived. They were very nice and he told me that they wouldn’t just drop it off on the street, they would move it up next to my garage or to a convenient location. They just had pallet jacks so they could not move it to the back. On the day of delivery they arrived at 11:20 (the window was 11:00-2:00). The two delivery guys were very careful. They put it up next to our garage. They let us inspect everything. It was up on its side completely wrapped in white plastic. Had there been any punctures or damage, it would have shown. We hired a spa mover ($325) to move it to our back yard over grass and through a 42” gate. They positioned it exactly where we wanted it. The next day my husband wired in the electrical, drained the anti-freeze from it and filled it. By 6:00 pm it was up to temperature and we were soaking in it. It is very well constructed and insulated. The interior finish is very nice (Tuscan Sun). The variety of jets make it fun to move around. The exterior looks really nice, certainly better than wood would look. The lighting system sets a nice mood. There are plenty of adjustments for anything and everything. The cover is well made and matched the siding very well. I haven’t tried the blue tooth yet. We have had no leaks or issues what so ever. It is next to our bedroom and we barely hear when it cycles on. It doesn’t disturb our sleep at all. My husband did add some internal reinforcement so we could put a nice cover lift on it. We are very pleased. For less than $7000 we have a spa that would be comparable at $12 to $14,000. I hope this explanation of the timeline lets you know what to expect. That was the only negative... not really knowing how the sale would progress.

Love the hot tub and all features. Sams club reps were very helpful. Although the delivery of hot tub was another experience. Hot tub was to be shipped on June 28 and did not arrive until july 16 after numerous calls to delivery service.

I am a happy camper

We received our spa in December and I have waited to make sure everything continued to work properly. Could not be happier, easy to install after the delivery, The two men put it down in a place that I could lift it onto two PVC pipes and with the help of my wife we moved it into our lanai. We paid to have the electrical installed and everything work great. Could not be happier with Sams Club and Strong Spas.

Awesome spa!!

Love this spa. This was a replacement for our 15 year old hot tub and wow, what an upgrade!! The jets are AMAZING. the lights so great. Add to that the Bluetooth music and it's perfect. Great for parties and great for quiet times by yourself or with your closest friend.

Great value compared to big brands

We bought this hot tub after deciding we just were not willing to fork out $25K for the previous "big name" hot tub that we had for over 10 years at our former house. I have to say that I'm impressed with the value that Everlast/Strong offers at this price point. The two pumps, jets and air blower were a bit weaker than expected but still provided therapy. There isn't a dedicated circulation pump but one of the mains can be programmed on how long it runs per day to avoid unnecessary energy. The BT speakers were unexpectedly nice. The only issue I will mention that is underwhelming is the insulation. I had to open the front cover to install power and to my amazement the insulation "barrier" is just a thick piece of styrofoam tucked into each spa shell panel. I get you don't get filled foam at this price point but I would have at least seen a sheet of thick foam insulation with a radiant barrier to at least trap the heat in the hot tub. I'm hoping this is is something that I can tweak with spray foam insulation, rockwool or one of the other recommended insulation materials for spas. I also wanted to mention our delivery was very long and delayed but we encountered no leaks and the delivery crew was one of the best customer service experiences we've ever encountered. The kind folks at Strong immediately answered the phone when I called in about what the replacement model of the water filter is. I am keeping 2 extra filters on-hand so that I can rotate them through cleaning every 2-3 weeks. The Everlast Indulgence takes a single cartridge filter from Pleatco PRB50-IN, Unicel C-4950 or equivalent for those looking.

Hassle with Strong Spa

Who approved this hot tub for shipment. 1. small hole on front panel 2. No Bluetooth button 3. Cover: not sewn right or not put together correct. 4. Small tear on bottom plastic. For the price, this hot tub is worth it. However, not sure about the hassle. I don't want to email someone, I want to speak with someone! We just received this tub and can't get hold of anyone to help out, why? Where is the customer service?

Warning

Ordered late summer, trucking company said they could not get large truck down or road and driveway. Sam's club joplin refused to take delivery there. Had it delivered to a town business with loading docks. Picked up there with a trailer.hot tub installed fine, no problems, good hot tub, (was missing small extras ) the manufacturer stronghold refused to accept warranty registration because not delivered to purchasing address. And club after many conversations admitted it is wrong and would be corrected. Never done disappointed in Sam's club and do not trust strongspas. Probably has wrong filter in spa and stronghold will not respond with part number or dimensions.
