[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] MY wife and i had a poorly constructed pergola over an aging deck when we bought our home 3.5 years ago. We decided to have the deck replaced and found this Cordova gazebo would be perfect for shade. The hip roof design gives it a more premium look. WE also love the power box with 3 ac outlets and 3 USB power ports. Although we haven't had the opportunity to use it much due to weather but the quality of materials is outstanding, especially for a kit.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I purchased my gazebo 5 months ago and we LOVE IT!! We have enjoyed several backyard parties and family gatherings underneath our gazebo. We love the post with the electrical and USB connections which makes it convenient to enjoy music, and charge cell phones/electronics while outside all day without going into the house. It’s Perfect for birthday parties and relaxing outdoors.

Extremely happy with our new gazebo!! This company is great, the materials are good and very detailed instructions. Recommend stacking and labeling all the boards after unpacking the crates for easier assembly. Keep everything organized. My husband and I built this ourselves but did have help getting the roof panels up. Very happy, highly recommend.

The assembly of the product has very little tolerance for error and field conditions. Roof panels do not overlap with wide seams. I have a concern for when it rains that water will drip through the seams. Further the fact that the entire process requires assistance of others to install is a downfall in my opinion. Assembly of the roof in four units that each require lifting is not a good idea. The units are very heavy and lifting is awkward and not safe for a 16ft section. The roof should be considered to be assembled in place. Hardware is a low grade steel and should be replaced/ upgraded in key areas such as where the roof sections combine. Overall the unit has a nice look but could benefit from another person or review assembly by a single person.

We looked at a lot of options and different products on the market to replace our existing gazebo and finally decided to go with the Backyard discovery Cordova and we are glad we did. It is an extremely well constructed product. We live in upstate New York where we get plenty of snow and, we are confident that this gazebo will hold up to the snow load. It looks great on our deck and seems to be built to last. The power / outlet panel is a very nice feature and gives you plenty of options.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We are enjoying our gazebo very much! My husband and I were able to assemble it over the course of a weekend. We did need a third person to help with one part of the wood assembly and when we had to raise the roof pieces. The wood foundation was a pretty simple and easy install. The roof was a bit harder - directions could have been a little clearer. Overall construction is solid.

We have been very happy with our gazebo. It's already made it through a low grade hurricane too. It is certainly a project to get it built but the instructions are clear. My husband and I did the initial structure ourselves over a couple weekends and then called our high school age nephew over to help us put on the roof. We worked over 3 weekends in May 2023 to get it completed and have enjoyed it daily ever since.

I just finished assembling this gazebo last weekend. I agree with the other points people have said in these reviews. The 10hr assembly is definitely not realistic unless you have two people experienced with this particular gazebo. I'm 53yrs and it took me 22hrs.. Plus another 6hrs combined from another person who helped me the 1st day and 2 more for about an hour to get the roof panels in place. Biggest advice... Pick the bilt app Or the written directions (they are slightly different) and follow it carefully! Once the roof panels are in place and secured by the 1st bolts it's easy to get ahead of yourself seeing what comes next and not look closely at directions. I was missing one piece from one of the 10ft "A" frame pieces (which backyard discovery shipped me 2day express with no problem or hassle) So we put up the other 3 roof panels and secured them. When we finally put 4th and final roof panel in to place I ended up having to loosen almost all the bolts to the other panels and nudge over panels to get all the holes to align... The manuals clearly say do not tighten until they are all in place and bolts started. So again.. It's easy to get ahead of yourself, don't skip something thinking you can come back to it, it's in that order for a reason. Also.. Pay attention to when you have to drill pilot holes! The pieces come with probably 95% of the pilot holes already there for you, but then the instructions will say fasten such and such drilling a pilot hole.. And if you read over it quickly you can think the pilot hole is already there.. Happened to me and wood started to split so backed out thinking I was using wrong screw,... Looked at instructions more carefully, and was like oh... I was supposed to drill pilot hole. Other than that it was pretty straight forward, a couple of the wooden roof cross pieces were warped making holes kind of a pain to align but nothing too bad. I definitely recommend taking the 2-3 hrs before you start and unboxing everything and sorting it, put bags of screws /bolts and washers in numerical order so they're easy to find, and be careful tearing open the bags, don't destroy the markings on the bag identifying what part# they are.. Some washers you'll use a lot of.. Then come back to them hours later and need more of the same part #. Raising the roof panels instead of putting a person on ladder in the middle we had person stand on ground, they used a 2x4 about 6 feet long as a pole to help guide peak of roof panel in place under roof cap, just had to remind them don't put 2x4 against sheet metal roof... Keep it on one of the cross wood frame pieces, it worked well. Bolted all together and tightened down its a very strong structure. It should last a long time and withstand the changes in weather here in Wisconsin and occasional heavy snowfalls.

And I have a dry place to enjoy, while watching my kids play in the rain. This gazebo is beautiful and one of the greatest backyard investments!

Very excellent build. The instructions were very well laid out. There were only a couple of times that I had to really had to scratch my head to figure it out. Most of the build I performed by myself until I could get help to put large sections together. The pre drilled holes were laid out very well. The only exception was that the purlins like the T02 on the top of the left and right roof panels had the holes set up on the center of rafter which puts the screw right into the bolt for the rafter. I appreciate the protection on the metal roof panels but if I never see another piece of blue plastic it will be too soon!
