I find this dehumidifier to be really good. It was easy to set up and the reservoir is not so big that it is too heavy to pull out and empty. Be mindful of the pump hose when returning the reservoir tank, if it is in the down position you won't be able to close the tank reservoir into position, it's on the top right, just gently push it back up and the tank goes back nicely. (little thingee that usually stays put but sometimes stays down when your remove the reservoir).

The unit has a rating of 79 from consumer reports, only behind Honeywell at 81, but the Midea has 5 star rating for RELIABILITY and Honeywell 3 stars and the price of Midea was 40% less. The Midea is by far the quietest I have had over many brands for the past 25 years.

I bought two of these units, about 2 weeks ago. I intended to use both for my 2,000 sq. Ft. basement. Turns out one was more than enough, so the second one made its way upstairs. After a few days, I plumbed The basement unit into the sink drain and set the humidity at 50% and haven't bothered it since. The change in the air quality in the basement was easily noticeable the next morning. I dumped multiple buckets throughout the day as it pulled the moisture out of the basement. I appreciate the option to have it constant on, and also programmed to maintain humidity at a certain set point of your choosing. The pump setup seems as it may allow some mildew to build up as it pumps the tank empty once it fills up…so I'll likely get some HVAC condensate pan tablets to put in the bottom to help keep green from growing. The unit has a pump filter, so I assume it will save the pump in the event the creature from the blue lagoon grows in there. I haven't used the continuous drain function yet, however, based on principal I believe it may be the better solution to long term usage as it doesn't utilize the tank. So far so good!

It works well. Keep in mind, this is a large machine. Read the measurements.

Great unit, works well and does not have a loud annoying noise as a unit that I used to own. I actually purchased a 2nd identical one a few days after using the first one I ordered. (One for each floor of my home).

Works great! Pulls the water out of the air! Quiet, easy to empty, timer and auto shut off. One negative, it generates a lot of heat. From the description I thought it would blow room temperature or a little cool, but it heats up the room.

Seems to work fine and not too noisy. Has a bad smell for the first two days. When you send it the warranty info it gets returned to sender because Midea is no longer there?

We purchased four units for work and so far they are all operating properly. The only issue we had is that three of the four were used before we got them. There were obvious signs of use and some of the drain hoses had already been cut down to length. They were definitely not brand new units. Since they work we just kept them but we are very disappointed with Sam's Club for selling used machines as new product at full price.

Had this unit for three years and the pump stopped working. The unit still works w/o the pump but I decided to purchase a new Midea and use this one as a backup. Note that the pump on this dehumidifier like those on virtually all dehumidifiers, appears to be made by the same manufacturer (not Midea) and all are trouble prone. Now, on to this unit.. Compared to my new Midea of the same capacity, this unit was quieter and has a larger water reservoir. The unit operates well in "comfort" mode effectively lowering humidity while not raising the room temperature too much. The unit intakes air at the rear and discharges it from the left side. Regarding noise, the new MIdea I purchased has a great deal of air noise that drowns out the compressor and other mechanical noises. This unit has a reasonably quiet compressor and a reasonably quiet fan. While you'll hear both while it is running, it is reasonably quiet.

machine leaks all over the floor when used in pump mode with everything connected properly. very disappointed in purchase.
