This review is comparing this coffee to Member's Mark French Roast coffee. Boyer's is a light to medium body coffee, taste is ok but not as good as Member's Mark. Beans are fresh and recently roasted with lots of oil showing on the beans. No problem grinding or resealing the bag. Might or might not buy again. Will keeping looking for a great French Roast Coffee.

Coffee Lover

These beans were really oily (?) and gummed up our grinder a ton. Had to clean out the grinder 3 times as often as I would normally to get us through 2 bags of beans. We used them promptly after buying so its not like they were old. Taste is great, but not worth the hassle and don't want to ruin my grinder long term. So won't be buying these again.

Good taste but not easy to grind

Excellent coffee; I was pleased with it. However, a rock locked up my grinder and ruined it while grinding my morning brew today. I have just ordered a replacement grinder, so this excellent coffee has cost me quite dearly. I have been grinding my coffee for about 40 years, and this is the first time I have encountered such a problem. This may be a very rare problem, but I don't think I will be buying this coffee again. So, WARNING: Grind at your own risk.

Rocky Good

This coffee is really good, it has a rich flavor and it doesn’t taste burnt at all.

Rich in Flavor

I was disappointed with this coffee. It is marketed as an intense and smoky dark blend but when I first opened the bag there wasn’t much of a smell. After grinding it I was expecting to release some of the smell but it still didn’t smell much. After brewing what should have been a pot of strong coffee the finished product didn’t have much flavor at all. It did not taste like an intense or smoky flavor and definitely didn’t taste like a dark blend. After several pots I had the same result.

Not much flavor

Now that my cold brew has brewed… the coffee beans and when ground, smell absolutely delish! Made me want a glass at 10pm while hand grinding. Quite aromatic. Definitely a light roast. Taste great alone/black. If you like to add cream and or flavor, but still want to taste the coffee, would go with a heavier roast; extras caused a loss in coffee flavor. But part of the fun in experimenting. Loved this coffee and will definitely be buying more (after buying an automatic grinder).
