Light but quite aromatic.

Now that my cold brew has brewed… the coffee beans and when ground, smell absolutely delish! Made me want a glass at 10pm while hand grinding. Quite aromatic. Definitely a light roast. Taste great alone/black. If you like to add cream and or flavor, but still want to taste the coffee, would go with a heavier roast; extras caused a loss in coffee flavor. But part of the fun in experimenting. Loved this coffee and will definitely be buying more (after buying an automatic grinder).

Not much flavor

I was disappointed with this coffee. It is marketed as an intense and smoky dark blend but when I first opened the bag there wasn’t much of a smell. After grinding it I was expecting to release some of the smell but it still didn’t smell much. After brewing what should have been a pot of strong coffee the finished product didn’t have much flavor at all. It did not taste like an intense or smoky flavor and definitely didn’t taste like a dark blend. After several pots I had the same result.

    Absolute BEST coffee EVER

    Oh Sam's, please don't betray my family but discontinuing this coffee. It is the only coffee I have ever enjoyed black and the smell... Oh the smell of butterscotch toffee one!!! Everyone should try this coffee. My husband is a coffee snob and I just depend on it to wake up but it is to die for and the price can't be beat. I will lose my will to live and Sam's might as well lower me in my grave if they pinch this one off their inventory.

    Flat and bitter

    The beans look and smell good, but the coffee was awful for my taste. Flat and butter, with no fruitiness or zip. Will not buy again.
