Enjoying my espresso!

So sad. I wasn’t too sure about this little machine, at first. The frother isn’t really great. But, I starting to get more comfortable with the machine and trying new recipes and was making my lattes everyday. Then the machine just died on me. Noooo! I only had it 3 months. Fortunately, Sams has a great return policy and I ordered another machine. Hopefully this one is better

This espresso machine is really fun to play with and it is very quick to make great coffee. You can make any of the espresso drinks to your hearts content and it is quite easy to use and EXTREMELY easy to clean. You just foam the milk in one glass and then pour the appropriate amount on top of the espresso. Is very well built and definitely will pay for itself if in no time due to coffee not bought out of the house. I was hoping to be able to make the shapes out of milk foams with the milk foamer and you definitely can but its a lot harder than I thought it would be, so keep that in mind.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Beautiful machine that does not take up a lot of counter space. Produces coffee and espresso drinks at a fraction of the cost of a coffee shop! Be your own Barista, impress your friends! Take the time to properly set up machine before making your first cup of coffee and you will be very pleased with the results. The machine is very streamlined with not many buttons however there is a cryptic code to program the functions using these few buttons. The machine communicates with you by these different buttons flashing in various sequences or by changing color: do not lose or discard owner's manual to decipher what is happening!! It's a small price to pay for having a clean looking machine with very few buttons. This is not an automatic espresso machine, which we actually like better. We enjoy the process. You will have to use pre ground espresso or grind your own whole beans in a separate grinder (not included). If you plan on frothing milk for cappuccinos, buy yourself a small stainless steel pitcher with which to do this. The height of the dispenser is not adjustable. I read if you want more Crema, bring your cup closer to where it dispenses. We are very impressed with the quality of coffee this machine makes time after the. There is no burnt taste. In addition to a stainless steel pitcher for frothing, invest in a "knock box" to knock the spent grounds out of the filter. We're very pleased with this machine and would highly recommend it to others. We even take it traveling with us as we have become coffee snobs- no one can prepare coffee as well as we can!

We had our first one of these for three years and loved it until the heating element failed. We bought a second one and I was surprised to find that it’s only brewing at 175 degrees. The DeLonghi website and others say that espresso should be brewed at 197 degrees. I’m using a Thermapen which is highly accurate and I used a second thermometer to verify. I’ve measured the water coming out on its own (no espresso) and a cup of espresso brewed with an ESE pod and am getting the same temperature. I have the temperature setting on the highest setting and I have double and triple checked that setting.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My husband and I were so excited to receive this machine, as also have a Delonghi Coffee Maker. We had really high expectations for the espresso, and it was pretty good. The main downside is that the setup takes over an hour, and even after the initial setup the directions state that the first few uses of the machine may not be completely satisfactory. I’ve used the machine several times at this point and it does produce a good espresso, but it just takes awhile to get there.

I'm a first time user but the instructions were really easy to follow and the results- Delicious coffee! I love how quick it is and the cleaning up is easy too. The design is sleek and the machine does not take up a lot of space. I'm looking forward to using this everyday!

I have always just had a Kuerig and when I wanted a latte or cappuccino I always ended up going to a coffee shop. With the DeLonghi Dedica EC680 I can finally make my own lattes and cappuccinos and they are coffee shop quality. I read the manual and watched a YouTube video and was able to sussesfully froth my milk and make my latte the first time I used it. You are able to make single or double shots and I love that this unit is compact but beautiful since I live in a townhome. I highly recommend this espresso maker and if you are a espresso beginner like me, this is easy to use.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] First off let me say it is such a joy to be able to make a quality cup of specialized coffee in my own home! From unboxing to setting up everything went very smoothly. Be prepared to read and follow the instructions for setting up your machine for the first time. It is a little time consuming but the instructions are clear and easy to follow. Once your machine is programmed and prepped making that perfect cup of espresso is such a breeze. The frother is easy to use and froths up your milk for super creamy cappuccinos or whatever you would like to create. My husband and I pretty much spent the entire weekend creating our new favorite drinks. The machine heats the water up very fast so if you need a quick shot of espresso on your way out of the door in the morning this is definitely the machine you want. Clean up is also very quick and easy. I love the functionality and ease of use and I especially love the money I will be saving by doing our own fancy coffee drinks at home as opposed to going to the coffee shop every morning. I also want to add that the slim compact design is perfect for our small kitchen. All in all this is a winner and I highly recommend!!
