I had my reservations based on other reviews, but the safe that I bought at my local store was in good shape. There were some minor surface scratches on one side, but I was able to buff them out until they are barely noticeable. The interior layout is flexible and easy to configure. I dedicated one side to ammunition, paperwork (titles/deeds/etc) and other valuables and one side to rifles. It comfortably fits 6 long guns on one side, but I really don't see it accommodating more than 16 unless they are all .22's. BTW, it's quite a load to move around on your own. I suggest a couple of strong friends to get it off the pickup and up/down stairs.

Safe is awesome!! My only issue is it was really scratched up in shipping. The box was torn and the paint scratched off both front corners top to bottom.. As for the safe itself. I love it. Has more features than i realized and very happy with the safe itself

Safe came laying down on its face well protected. Hard to ship these standing up and not tipping over. Box had torn a little in transit. The driver called to make sure if I wouls want it. Couple scratches on the side. Nothing that would affect the safe's performance. Good quality cabinet plus the fire rating/flood rating which hopefully will never gwt tested. Overall a great experience. It is tough to argue with othee reviews of damage when those things can occur. Mine did not have any damage other than minor scratches.

Purchased this safe to safely store my firearms. It is we made and has quite a few conveniences that I found after purchase. The motion detected light is the best but there are several other nice factors and now I keep my important documents in there as well.

My safe took almost a month to be delivered and the shipping company was not very good at communicating. Once I recieved it though, it is a well made product. The finish looks great, the interior is nice, and the locking mechanism seems sturdy. Of course this isn't a vault, but for less than $1000, I don't think you'll find much better.
