6 pk Egg white cartoons

First time purchasing. Once home, unpacked the 6 cartons, but 3 were partially frozen as I could hear the ice when i shook them. Is this normal/standard? If this is normal, why doesn't it state that they're frozen? I like to know what I'm buying and whether or not it is frozen. I thought I was buying fresh! Concerned..
