[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I tried the Robert Mondavi Private Selection Bourbon Barrell-Aged Cabernet Sauvingnon with a fall themed chili dinner, so delicious! The Cab has a nice, hearty aroma. The sweet undertones from the bourbon barrels give the wine a uniquely complex taste. Great wine for the price!

I tried pairing it with dark chocolate but that didn’t help much. Just too bitter for my taste. My husband didn’t like it all. Too sophisticated for our palettes, perhaps.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Robert Mondavi Private Selection Bourbon Barrel-Aged Cabernet Sauvignon was really good, I tasted chocolatey taste, vanilla, a fruity berry taste kinda like cherry, had a coffee taste. This wine was full bodied, the notes were rich tasting. It wasn't too oaky nor did it taste like old cigars, it was slightly smoky, do taste a little bit of bourbon. The wine was enjoyable with a steak dinner, pizza, pasta, cheese, goat cheese. I would buy again.

Cabernet Sauvignon is one of the most popular dry wines you can find in a store. It has a dark fruit aroma with some notes of wood and spice. It has a really rich taste that goes down smooth. If you aren’t a dry wine person you can also add coke, sprite, or juice to dampen the dryness a little bit. We drank this wine with T-bone steaks and potatoes and it was a good pairing. You can also pair with cheese and meats such as prosciutto or salami. I would recommend drinking this on a cold night as the wine will make you warm and cozy.
