I paired this with bbq pizza and it was delicious! I could see this pairing nicely with anything off the grill or even with a cheesecake for dessert.

The Cabernet was very smooth and the barrel-aged flavor made the experience unique! It definitely had a stronger taste than the red blend option, but not in a negative way. This did not leave an aftertaste but instead left you wanting more. I would pair this with a cheese board or have it while relaxing by the fire. Overall, I can't wait to buy this wine again!

Oh, am I glad I did! This cabernet has a smooth, decadent taste that is perfect for red wine lovers. There's a slight smokiness here without being overpowering: just the right amount of something extra that makes this wine stand out from others. Robert Mondavi consistently delivers great products at a fantastic price point, but this private selection offering is something extra special by the company. So glad to make this a new favorite!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Mouthfeel is juicy and tannins subtle and elegant. I also noticed there wasn’t any sort of bitter aftertaste from the tannins, which was great. I don’t like it when an elegant Pinot gets cut short with an aftertaste.

I loved pairing this with some dark chocolate pretzels. They complimented each other well with the sweetness of the wine and the bitter dark chocolate. This is my first time trying a wine aged in a bourbon barrel. How fun !
