Right down to the shape of the can, this is like stepping back in time and being with my grandparents and great grandparents as they weathered World War I. Believe it or not, I eat this for the nostalgia of those times, right down to the "key" opener. It's awesome. Of course, they didn't have microwaves back then. I do. I microwave this for a minute and a half. It's good with a nice, bland side dish as it's a bit on the salty side. But the whole experience is, for me, like being in a time machine for the brief instant of a meal, and I like it.

Being from Hawaii this is something we use for those who are on a strict budget and can't afford a real corned beef brisket. We make fried cabbage and corned beef and serve it over rice. It is a much cheaper meal and feeds many.

I love cornbread and am glad that Sam's carry's the product but it's too salty.

Have eaten Libby's Corned Beef since I was a teen and am now 76. My 1st job after high school I brought my lunch. It was almost always a corned beef whole wheat sandwich with German mustard. Nowadays it's mostly for breakfast with eggs on top and toast. Just enough carbs and protein for me.

I make corned beef and cabbage using this corned beef. I cook the cabbage, potatoes, carrots in some beef broth. When done I slice the corned beef to add to the plate.

Grass-fed beef has a distinctive flavor that always takes me by surprise--BUT IT IS VERY GOOD FOR YOU! (This is Brazilian corned beef). I bought this to make inexpensive/healthy corned beef/cabbage dinner (for six) in my crock-pot. I cut one-half large green cabbage into wedges, and placed them on top of three large carrots (unpeeled, from which I had trimmed tops and bottoms) in the bottom of the crock pot. I covered this with contents of one can corned beef, sliced into six pieces. I covered the beef slices with onion wedges, gently poured one cup water over the pile, covered the crock-pot and cooked on "high" a couple of hours (until vegetables were tender). ("WHAT IS THIS MYSTERY MEAT WE ARE EATING")? Recipe idea #2 was Corned Beef on Rye Sandwiches (for six). This is a 3 pk, with a "Best By" date five years from now, so I have plenty of time to decide what to make with the third can. I note that this product is highly salted--DO NOT add more without careful consideration. Paying twice for shipping (I have a regular Sam's membership, so Fed-Ex shipping was added to the product's cost, which already includes shipping) resulted in more expensive "inexpensive" lunch and dinner than I had expected, but I enjoyed trying this product at a time of meat rationing. I suspect that it is a healthier alternative than the canned stews on the market.

I like corn beef. I like spam. So I thought I will give it a try. I ate it out of the can, microwaved it, and fried it. It is horrible. It does not have much taste. I will not buy again.
