Not a fan - more like a sauce or gravy than chili

Not a fan at all. I miss Dennison's all-meat chill but cant find it anymore, so I tried the Wolf's. This chili while it "tastes" okay, it have no texture. I think of chili with chunks of stuff in it, this Wolf's chili is more like a sauce - or gravy. It would be great for topping on hot dogs but its not as a "bowl of chili".

Tastes Horrible. Smells like dog food.

I was very disappointed in this product. When I opened it the dog food smell almost gagged me. I determined to be tough and try anyway. This chili was simply a thick disgusting paste consistency. I decided to try and fix it. I added onions, salsa, cooked lean ground meat, beans, mexene, etc. All I did was waste more food. It's impossible to make this palatable. Save yourself the money. My dogs wouldn't even eat it. Poor beasts.

I'm not sure how this still gets great reviews!

I've been buying it for years and it's changed SO much. Still tastes pretty good but the meat is the tiniest pieces of finely minced meat in extremely small quantities, and the stuff is 90% sauce. It's fine to slap on a chili dog or some such, but doesn't stand up as an actual meal. It also looks and smells like dog food.

Delivered damaged

Not sure why the box that the beans were shipped in was not damaged but the actual beans packaging was torn and tattered and 3 cans were terribly bent. Why would an employee pack that and send it to a customer? So now I have to take the time out of my busy schedule to return it to the store. Not happy.

This is garbage

I bought this product because the "reviews" said it was the best chili ever. I had problems from the start - The can is made from very thin metal and was very difficult to open. The product inside was even worse - very mushy with hardly any taste. NEVER AGAIN will I buy Wolf Brand chili.

Great taste, but no chunks of beef

This chili is a little different. The flavor is nice, excellent chili flavor, but there are no discernible chunks of beef. I did add a little cayenne and I think it improved the spice a lot. It's more of a hot dog chili topping in my opinion. It would be good as a chili topping or anything as an ingredient, but just eating by itself it's a little weird. Just look at the pictures on the label, there's no beef morsels as depicted. I'm surprised they haven't been taken to court over it.

Chili SAUCE

This is a chili sauce. It in no way remotely resembles the pictures on the box. It is ok for chili dogs or dip by itself BUT I think most think of chili with no beans to have some meat with some structure not the texture of applesauce or farina. I think it should be labeled chili sauce otherwise it is misleading. It is also very mild but thats ok.
