And I have never understood why companies feel the need to shove a bunch of sugar in an already sweetened product. It tastes good without all of the additives, what more could you ask for?

This is a fantastic grab and go snack for families, especially if anyone has a cholesterol issue. There’s an entire serving of fruit per 1/2 cup, making it an easy way to make sure your kids get enough fruit. I use it in baking too. I cut out the oil and use applesauce instead. This unseasoned and unsweetened applesauce does not add undesired flavors to your baked goods. The sauce has an fine, uniformly consistent texture -- no unexpected lumps in the batter. The 48 oz size is more than enough to carry you through a weekend of baking -- and if by chance you don't use it all up, you can pop the container in the freezer and pull it out next time you need it. Some children object that this sauce is not sweet enough -- you can fix that by sprinkling a very small amount of cinnamon sugar across the top of the bowl, or by mixing other fruits into each serving
