This is exactly what I needed for my back and shoulder pain, it's very firm and keeps your posture well positioned. You feel recharged, relaxed and ready to work next day. A good sleep is very important for everyone and this mattress is definitely worth all the money spent on it. You can never go wrong with this mattress. We got the queen-size Stearns & Foster Lux Estate Soft Pillowtop mattress and we couldn't be happier. We were previously sleeping on a queen size sleeper sofa mattress, and if anyone knows anything about those mattresses, they are very thin and you can feel the bars from the sofa bed frame all night. My partner of 20 years is disabled, and he lays down most of the day, therefore, we just keep the sofa sleeper bed out all day every day and never fold it back into the sofa. When I was offered this free sample, I was more than delighted! We are BOTH sufferers of degenerative arthritis, and he has had multiple work injuries which eventually disabled him. Our previous mattress only made matters worse for both of us. He has insomnia and was up and down all night long with aches and pains. Now I am pleased to say that we are finally getting a good night's sleep! I haven't seen him sleep this good for so long! As for me, I am sleeping way better also, and for longer amounts of time than I previously was. I seriously do not want to get out of this bed! Our aches and pains are getting better by the day, not totally gone of course, but more tolerable. The cooling feature of this mattress is the BOMB as I am going through hot flashes! And we cannot even feel each other get out of bed anymore because of the motion sense feature, so less wakening. I cannot thank both companies enough, and I would HIGHLY recommend a Stearns and Foster mattress for a great night's sleep! We will never go with any other brand from here on out!

It's taller than other mattresses so my fitted sheet wants to ride up and pop off so I'm constantly readjusting that. That's been an unfortunate problem. I like how supportive it is, yet has a nice soft pillow top. It doesn't have that factory smell which is so nice. Makes me think the materials used are higher quality.

I bought this mattress because of the reputation of the company and reviews and am very disappointed. After using it for six months it is sagging and I wake up with back and hip pain every morning. I never had back problems before getting this mattress. I am not even finished paying for it and am already looking to buy another mattress, but it won't be a Stearns and Foster.

First, I am one to never change something I like and am comfortable with. I've had my current mattress now for 7 years and I love it and it's the best. Or so I thought before I tried the Stearns & Foster Lux Estate Soft Pillowtop mattress. This mattress is everything I could want. Let's start with its appearance. I got the Queen mattress and the color is Dark blue with 3 gray fleur de lis on it. Almost didn't want to put sheets over it with how regal it looks. It's a thick/deep mattress at about 16 inches with handles on the side to move easier. It also has a pillowtop which is a nice touch. It's smooth and silky to the touch and great quality stitching. It is a firm mattress, but with the soft pillowtop it feels really comfortable. Not so much that you sink in, but definitely enough to be enjoyable. It's not bouncy like coil mattresses and not stiff like the firm foam mattresses. As GoldiLocks would say, "it's just right". I slept on this mattress for 7 days. With this mattress I wake up feeling actually refreshed. I haven't slept a full night in I don't even know how long. Limited tossing and turning as well. Seemed to feel and stay cooler than my old mattress too. On my old mattress I had shoulder pain when I woke up. Now I'm not going to say it's gone, but 75% better for sure. My rating for the Stearns & Foster Lux Estate Soft Pillowtop mattress is an easy 10/10. Amazing product! I've already raves about it to my friends and family. My Dad is coming this weekend to try it out too. Saying goodbye to my old foam mattress and I will be investing in another for my guest room soon. It will be worth every penny!

This has not been what I was hoping for after spending all this money! I have the pillow top firm and it is lumpy in the middle and sinks where you sleep and only had this one month! I believe this is the worst I have ever slept on and hopefully can get something else! Sales lady talked me into a firm which I normally hate!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This mattress is very comfortable. It works well with our adjustable base as well. My only complaint (if any) is that it seemed to hold in body heat, so some nights are a little warmer. Other than that, I would recommend this mattress to anyone-especially those who suffer from back or joint pain. It allows the body to decompress from a hard day and remain in that position. It also does not have a lot of movement-allowing my spouse to toss and turn while I sleep soundly or vice versa.

WARNING NOTICE: I purchased an ultra firm pillow top mattress that was a floor model. I like the firmness. It was perfect for two years. I rotated every 6 months. I now have hump in the middle of the mattress. You don't see it. You just feel it. Sterns and Foster does not back up their products under any condition or defect from floor models. Although I don't know the history of this mattress on a showroom floor, I can't imagine that I should have this happen after two years. Just letting the public know.

The S&F Lux Estate Medium PT didn't work for me. It had too much memory foam that I sank into causing lower back and hip pain. I am a side sleeper and occasionally sleep on my back. It also slept hot because of all the memory foam. I exchanged it for the S&F Estate Plush tight top which is perfect and costs less.
